"Our stay at Hyatt Cancun was mostly wonderful. The property was beautiful, and the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our time there, and overall, everything was excellent except for one unusual incident on our last night. We stayed in room 3208. During our stay, I had a feeling that something in the room felt a little unusual, but I didn’t think much of it at the time. However, on our last night, around 2:00 AM, we experienced something very strange. The fan light turned on automatically by itself, and after about 10–15 minutes, we heard a very loud and sharp noise inside the room. It sounded like a water pump turning on. We checked the balcony to see if the sound was coming from outside, but it was not.. it seemed to be coming from inside the room. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, even covering my head with a pillow because the noise was so disturbing. After another 20–25 minutes, the sensor light near the bathroom sink area turned on automatically. We were very confused and honestly scared because we could not understand what was happening. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable, so we decided to leave the room around 3:45 AM for our checkout. We also informed the lobby reception about what happened. Other than this unexpected experience on our last night, everything else about our stay was excellent. The property, service, and staff were amazing, and we truly appreciate the hospitality and care we received during our stay."
