Excellent hotel. Very frequent Traveller. Usually stay in 5star luxury hotels, this was excellent both the hotel and the team. It was our first adult only and all inclusive and would massively recommend.

Petit Lafitt was perfect for what we wanted. We had toured Mexico City, Merida, Tulum and finally Playa Del Carmen. We were aware this area would be very different to all those I'd mentioned before so opted for somewhere that would be more homely than the larger resorts. Absolutely loved our time at Palmaia - the food was incredible (as a usually non-veg/vegan it was a huge treat and has inspired my husband and I to reduce our meat intake because we never missed it), the staff were all really lovely, the room had a great view and the beach was fab. We also went to several of their activities and the spa and really enjoyed them. Perfect spot for our babymoon/honeymoon!

Huge property and the cheaper Zen section is actually the nicest, at least in term of the public areas. Service was outstanding, utterly faultless and the food was gourmet level and way above what you'd expect of an all-inclusive. Great location just a 5 minute taxi ride from Playa Del Carmen. Highly recommended.

This was our 3rd trip to Grand Velas but the first with kids. While almost everything was great they need to work on a few things. Firstly provision of high chairs is almost non existent. It often took 15 mins to get a high chair and one time we got given one which was blatantly dangerous - our child could easily have slipped out of the bottom. The hotel is small & friendly. We took 4 teenagers who spend far too much time on their phones & they had a fantastic time. The activity team got them doing joining in with Yoga, Aqua Aerobics, Zumba, Beach Volleyball, & loads of games on the beach. The beach is lovely & the food & drinks flow all day. I can’t recommend it enough, we had one of our best holidays ever.

We loved our stay at Akumal Bay. The staff at the resort were excellent and the location was perfect. The food at the buffet was good and the evening entertainment was also very good. The only negative was the morning “fight” for the loungers at the beach and on our first day, because we arrived in the afternoon, there were no towels left.
