"The room was always clean, and they were there by mid morning most of the time. The staff was fabulous as they were very accommodating and friendly. We had a room upgrade when we got there as we had no idea! Our room was huge! The pool was also great. If you were there in the morning, beverage a problem finding a place to sit. Some rented the cabanas and it looked like the service was exquisite! I spent two hours at the spa and I can’t say enough good about it. Lucia was a fabulous massage therapist if you want deep tissue massage! I highly recommend her! The food was wonderful! We especially loved the shrimp cocktail at the restaurant called Pelicanos! A small hut close to the pool had wonderful Pome salads, pizza and sandwiches. You are two blocks from 5th Ave. an easy walk. I highly recommend the Hyat Vivid! We will return!"

"Everything is 5 star quality. Really liked the hotel, bar , activities food, coffee bar was my favorite. The staff was amazing. Great job. Family of 6 . ( kids grown up). They all enjoyed . Beach had those sargassum /seaweed, but they tried cleaning every day and the not take away from our experience."

"Excellent location in Playa del Carmen city, food is very good at the resort, quiet atmosphere. Bars do not open until 11am, and the sidewalks are rolled up early at night, very small beach area, and the sargassum has a high impact on this location."

"I booked this resort because of the many amenities and activities that were advertised, including cenotes, water attractions, and multiple restaurants. Unfortunately, several of these attractions and dining options were closed or unavailable during my stay. I stayed for 8 nights, and my toilet broke 3 different times. Reaching the front desk was often difficult, and when I was finally able to report the issue, it was not fixed even hours later. The hot tub was also out of service, and the air conditioning stopped working overnight as well. The food was decent if you could get reservations, but they fill up very quickly. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others seemed uninterested in assisting guests. The beach was heavily affected by seaweed, which I understand is beyond the resort's control. However, with the beach conditions limiting enjoyment, I expected more effort to be made to keep other activities and amenities open and available. I also want to warn future guests about the sales presentations. During my stay, staff repeatedly approached me with offers for "special deals" and "coupons." In my experience, these lead to high-pressure timeshare sales pitches that can negatively impact your vacation. Overall, the resort did not live up to the expectations created by its advertising, and the repeated maintenance issues, unavailable amenities, and sales pressure made for a disappointing stay."

"Rooms and food are great. Being in a safe community to walk around made for a unique experience. Don’t take any offers to tour other resorts for a gift or voucher. Do upgrade to preferred club and make sure to use the pool, spa and dinning perks that come with it. I would stay here again."
