Mexico and Central America Beach Holidays

Our stay in Cancún was wonderful, but the person who truly made our experience unforgettable was Luany. From the moment we met her, she treated us with genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism. She didn’t just do her job—she consistently went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. What stood out most was how sincere she was. Luany made us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation. She was attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and always willing to help. Her positive energy and exceptional customer service made a lasting impression on both of us and elevated our entire vacation. Employees like Luany are the reason guests remember a hotel, recommend it to others, and choose to return. Management should know that she is an incredible representative of this property and a tremendous asset to the team. She deserves to be recognized and rewarded for the level of care she provides. If raises, promotions, or employee awards are being considered, Luany should absolutely be at the top of that list. Thank you, Luany, for helping make our Cancún trip so special. We truly appreciate everything you did for us and hope the hotel recognizes how fortunate they are to have you!

This was by far the worst all-inclusive experience I have ever had. The hotel had only one specialty restaurant, and we were never able to dine there because reservations could only be made through a mobile app that did not work properly. I reported this directly to managers Edgar and Eliseo, but neither resolved the issue. The food was terrible, with very little variety and poor quality. The only exception was the breakfast omelet station, where both the food and the cook’s service were excellent. The drink service was equally disappointing. Alcohol was not available until 11 a.m., the beer at the pool was served warm, and one day they even ran out of whiskey. At the lobby bar, drinks and even coffee were routinely served in disposable cups unless we repeatedly asked for a proper glass or cup. On our final day, the hotel accommodated passengers from a canceled/delayed flight, overcrowding the only available buffet. There were long lines, no available seating, and food quickly ran out. This was an unacceptable all-inclusive experience. Expedia should reconsider offering this property, and I believe a refund or compensation is appropriate given the poor quality and service we received.

We had a wonderful stay at MÍA Reef and absolutely loved the location. Being at the end of Playa Norte and surrounded by beautiful turquoise water made the resort feel completely different from a typical hotel. The beach and views were easily the highlight for us, especially being able to enjoy the water and then come right back to the resort. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive experience, the food and drinks, and being able to relax without having to plan every meal. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We also loved being close enough to explore Isla Mujeres while still having a peaceful place to come back to. The property could use some updating in a few areas, and there were a few little things that could be improved, but none of that outweighed the location and overall experience for us. Isla Mujeres was beautiful, and MÍA Reef gave us some great memories. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The property was excellent. It was clean, the service was great and the food was delicious. The sargassum on the beach was the only negative. If you want clear clean shore you would have to go to one of the western facing beaches.
