Mexico Scuba Diving Holidays

Will definitely return! It's our 2nd time here. Last stay was about 14 years ago and we loved the place just as much! Well kept, clean room, great staff (Andrea, our concierge, made sure all our needs were met...including a last-minute ride to the airport when our preplanned ride failed), lots of nature, good food. 2 minor issues: people smoking on their balconies and in places they shouldn't have as well as children in the adults only section.

Everything about our stay was 5 stars. This is a resort that clearly has dedicated time to their processes and unseen service that goes above and beyond. The property itself is grand, well kept, and perfectly atmospheric. The coatis scampering around and a lovely jungle setting truly feel like you're in another world. Each location, whether at the pool, on a path, or at the beach, has it's own carefully-curated vibe that delivers. The pool is lovely. They've done a great job of separating the sound and DJ to one side of the pool - we could choose a quieter day or a rowdier day without needing to completely change pools! There are so many different places to eat and drink. The restaurants are all STELLAR! We often had a wait, but we could put our names in and then get a drink at Don Miguel's - they'd radio the bar to let them know our table was ready. All of the food was excellent - when a guest at our hibachi table had a special dietary restriction, their attention to food safety was top notch. Carlos, Israel, Oscar, Nora, Pablo, Sadie, EVERYONE on the entertainment staff was so incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. They learn your name quickly and always get you involved. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to add more mats around the pool bars and restrooms, perhaps even the pool steps. Every single day we saw people slip and fall - often multiple times. The floors are extremely slick. We will absolutely return to Valentin.

The staff was A++ they all knew our names by day 2. They were super courteous and very very honest. We left our safe open one day with plenty of cash on display and they came cleaned our room and absolutely nothing was taken. The resort was spotless. The events were far away from the rooms so you could get your rest of that is what you came for. The food was okay. The reservation for the Brazil restaurants had to be done from 2pm to 4pm which was very inconvenient. The steak didn't blow my mind. But the service made up for it. Their ceviche restaurant only serves tilapia. Which I was so super disappointed about. The main buffet was usually the best choice. The other had waits. The sushi bar was good. The rice was a tad harder than it should be. Their little coffee and bakery shop inside one of their stores was amazing. It had fresh ice cream daily and different desserts than in the restaurants. They went all out for the US folks for thanksgiving. They decorated the hotel and served a full turkey dinner and a rib roast. The pools and beach were incredible. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Was good! The hotel is huge so you need to walk much if your room is far from the Main amenities. The shows are really good.
