"Everything about the resort was great except for the beach set up. Too many loungers crammed together and not enough shade"

"Overall our large group had a nice stay, but I do have to start by saying this is definitely not a 5 start resort. Our room was outdated, barely clean, and not maintained. Activities were lacking and repetitive. Food was mid at best. Even the sit down restaurants seemed to basically have buffet food. Buffet was probably the best option. The staff we encountered though was kind, fun, and helpful! They definitely were a perk to the resort. For the price I wouldn’t stay again. The beach and pools were also pretty nice so we enjoyed that as well. The Riu Parties at Caribe were also a plus, although frustrating that nothing is held onsite and you CANNOT eat at there if you go for the parties. Overall we enjoyed our time away but for the cost I wouldn’t go back!"

"The rooms were clean and the staff were amazing! My only complaints are that the restaurant and room service coffee were undrinkable. You have to get coffee from the Cappuccino Bar or the Lounge 24. Also, it would be great to have beach access near the water sports area. "

"Nice hotel. There was some painting and upkeep going on but nothing that disturbed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was just ok. The breakfast was good and the Italian restaurant was delicious, i recommend despite other reviews I read. The sports pub could use some help in the food and service category. The pools were nice and the beach was as well"

"This Resort was great! I mean the rooms are beautiful you get a ocean view from every room. The property was very clean, the food was good! The staff was excellent and very accommodating especially the front desk guy name Cosme!! He was so helpful and very pleasant! I give this resort a 5 stars! "I have been coming to the Riu Caribe since 2014, and there is a reason I remain a loyal customer: they treat you like a person, not just a number. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel truly special. The check-in process was seamless. Valeria took excellent care of us and was absolutely great. I also want to give a special mention to Karen, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. It was my sister and brother-in-law’s first time visiting Cancun, and my parents were celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary, so having that extra level of care meant the world to us. The resort itself is fantastic, featuring: Modern Accommodations: The rooms are consistently clean and updated. Prime Location: Beautiful, direct access to the beach. Excellent Dining: A wide variety of delicious drinks and food options. Atmosphere: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, contributing to a fun, lively energy throughout the property. If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience where the service is as high-quality as the views, I cannot recommend Riu Caribe enough. We will definitely be back!"

"The property was kept very well groomed. The dining options were excellent. The staff were polite and always helpful. I have travelled extensively and have never encountered aggression with trying to get my future business as I did on this visit. The salesman actually commandered my luggage tags and said he would take care of it. After realizing that I was not going to buy a membership he had to chase us down to return the luggage tags which I felt were held hostage. It was not a pleasant introduction to the property. He basically wasted the first hour of my time at The Grand when an impression could have been made more positive. I belong to both Disney and Sandals and neither have been so oblivious to the fact I was on holiday and wanted to see the property not hear a salespitch. On a very positive note the fitness center is superb. The beach was not ideal due to sargassum so working out became a part of my visit. Again on leaving there was another aggressive young salesman and all this achieved was leaving me with a negative impression. There are so many positive things about the three resorts that it is sad to find this impression is one that lingers."
