"The best thing about this hotel is its beachfront location and the fact that beach towels are provided for guests. The front office staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. Felipe, from housekeeping, was also excellent—very polite and attentive, and did a great job keeping the room clean. Their service was definitely a positive part of the experience. However, the beach chair situation is a serious downside. There are independent vendors on the beach who rent chairs for around 500 pesos for the entire day, which is fair and transparent. In contrast, there is a man who appears to be associated with the hotel (he uses hotel-branded clothing and hotel equipment), who charges 250 pesos per hour for the same beach chairs. This pricing is completely unreasonable and, in practice, feels like a rip-off. For guests staying at the hotel, paying hourly rates at that level quickly becomes far more expensive than any normal beach service. Even more frustrating is the lack of clarity: he claims he is not part of the hotel service, yet everything he uses suggests otherwise. This creates confusion and gives the impression of an exploitative setup targeting hotel guests. Overall, while the hotel itself is good in terms of location and staff service, this beach chair situation significantly hurts the experience."

"Maria’s is a great place to stay! They provide free coffee, juice and toast/french toast daily. Buho’s is the beach bar connected to the hotel with direct access to the beach. You can rent golf carts right outside the hotel and there’s a fruit stand with fresh coconut/pineapple and massages on the beach! Always a great time!"

"The mint was a good deal for the price. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. The only thing that would make me not choose to stay there again would be the lack of hot water in the showers. Some people said to let it run for a while and it would get hot, but that never happened in my room. Besides for that it was a great stay."

"Had a great time staying here. It was right on the beach and so convenient. You could go run to your room and be back in the ocean in 30 seconds. Room was clean and comfortable. Property is no frills but staff was wonderful. You can rent a golf cart and park it right there. You can walk to town in 5 minutes and lots of bars and restaurants. Would 10000% stay again."
