Great Staff Highlights vs. Major Disappointments for Large FamiliesOur family reunion of 8 (including 3 kids) across 4 rooms had some great highlights but fell short on customer service and family accommodation.The Good Points:Kids Club & Pool Staff: The kids club worked perfectly. The staff girls were so nice. A special shout-out to the amazing guy serving drinks around the pool and the breakfast omelet station chef—both provided great customer service!The Downside (Why our experience went down):The Restaurant System is NOT Family-Friendly: The hotel app forces each room to make separate restaurant reservations. There was zero capacity to seat our family of 8 together at any restaurant. Even after speaking directly to the staff and explaining this was a year-long reunion, they couldn't seat us together—not even in the buffet! We had to eat apart, which was incredibly sad for us.Bar Service & Policies: Bars don't open liquor until 11 AM. Worse, the pool bar closes at 6 PM, but by 5:45 PM, the staff refused to serve cocktails, allowing only wine and beer.Lobby & Pool Bar Attitude: Customer service here was awful. Drinks and coffee are served in cheap plastic cups. Staff gave us a hard time if we asked for glassware. On our first morning, the lobby bar told me the espresso machine was broken, yet I saw them serve espresso to another guest just 5 minutes later.Overcrowding: The hotel felt overbooked. One night we had to wait in line for 20 minutes just to get into the buffet.

It’s a clean and nice hotel, the only thing we didn’t like a lot was the food options, we traveled with a 3 year old kid and it didn’t have a lot options for him to eat, also you need to know their food schedule cause each restaurant has a different one so that’s kinda weird if you order room service it costs 100mxn pesos around 5.50 usd just be aware of that, the kid loved the little kids area with the waterslides, the snacks by the pool are amazing but once again not to many options, the staff is amazing they helped us with all our needs

We loved our stay! Great hotel, very comfortable and good food. Great room and view! We’ve been to a couple of other hotel around the area and the best we’re stayed in so far. The staff was always helpful and ease to talk with. They become your friends basically! Loved their spa as well and gym. Thanks for the good time!

We stayed here September 5th - 8th. There was 6 of us in 3 rooms (2 per room). The property was clean and sanitary for the duration of our stay. The pools were clean and there was plenty of chair/canopy seating each day. The beach was kept clean (for the most part) of sargassum. There was an incident in the pool on one of the days where a staff member had accepted a gratuity from a patron to keep the music going in the pool past where they had planned to. The patron was highly intoxicated and when they turned the music off he caused a scene. The staff handled the situation appropriately and professionally. The only real complaint I have is that in the evenings there doesn't seem to be many options for food. There were a couple of restaurants open each night but I have stayed in many hotels in Cancun that you have 4-6 options for dinner and it seemed as if there were only 1 or 2 each night. I also didn't really think that a pant requirement to eat at MB is necessary. I get that it is a nicer restaurant, but my khaki golf shorts and polo looked way more professional than what some of the people walking in in jeans looked.
