"this is a brand new hotel, everything are in mind condition.. beautiful space beautiful decor and very simple and minimalistic .. hotel is in a great location 1 block from 5th ave and 1 block from the ocean and the famous mamitas beach club.. staff was excellent , breakfast was good with some good choices .. pool is on the roof and has amazing views .. this is a small hotel maybe 30 rooms but exactly what you need if you are visiting g playa del carmen.. I had eggs with ham, toast, fruit and granola with yogurt: The pool with the rainfall waterfall is sophisticated. The property and rooms were like the photos listed online. "Pleasantly surprised. This looks like a small motel, but is an apartment complex that rents out a few units. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom a separate from the kitchen dining room. Just a few blocks from the beach… and a great beach club. For a low budget trip, this place was just great. The staff did not speak any english but google translate helped to facilitate good communication. "

"This resort checked all the boxes - beautiful ocean view and huge rooms stocked with amenities. Made my vacation (a 50th birthday trip with 7 friends from multiple locations) amazing. The food was resort food (fine, not exceptional except for the Mexican restaurant, where we went for food) but that's normal (having stayed at 5 resorts in the Caribbean, this is totally the way it is), and you get a lot of value for the money. "

"The room was not good. I upgraded to a priority swim out and the lock on the conjoined room was broken the screen on the sliding door was ripped the safe was broken. And the worst part was no bar service for the swim out and the closest bar was at the other end of the property so having the swim out room was not worth it if you're planning on drinking. The food was not that good and the only thing the minny bar had was soda and water. I would not go back and wouldn't recommend. For this being a Hyatt property for me it was disappointing as I have always had better from their property's and paying to be a priority member I was disappointed as I just did not get that. "

"We had an amazing stay at UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya! From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible and the resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious, the food across the restaurants was consistently delicious, and the whole property had such a relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. A huge shoutout to Luis, our butler, who took such great care of us throughout our stay. He made everything effortless from helping with reservations to checking in and making sure we always had what we needed. His attention to detail really elevated our experience. Also, Eugenio at the pool deserves special recognition! He was the best pool butler always friendly, attentive, and making sure drinks were full and everyone was having a great time. He brought such positive energy to the pool area every day. The staff truly make this resort special. We left feeling relaxed, taken care of, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend UNICO Riviera Maya if you’re looking for great service, great food, and a beautiful place to unwind!"
