"I cannot express how special this resort is. Small, intimate, and unique. The entire staff helped me celebrate my birthday..special drinks, food and a beautiful piece of cake with a sparkler on top, Best birthday ever. I was upgraded to an amazing ocean front room. The food was great, the pool was wonderful. The beach is maintained and clean with lots of chairs and hammocks. I've found my vacation spot and will definitely be back."

However, while the hotel is marketed as 'vintage,' the room furnishings felt more outdated and musty than charming. Practical issues, like drawers that didn't work, made the stay less comfortable. It’s a great spot if you prioritize service and location, but the rooms could use...

"This place was beautiful and super super quiet! The staff is absolutely amazing! I hate that i forget their names but everyone literally everyone is so nice and welcoming. It was my birthday and they gave me endless love and even gave me a couple of bottles of wine complimentary for the occasion! Perfect for couples, although I went alone. The rooms have a little wear and tear but overall such a nice villa!"

Petit Lafitte Beachfront Hotel & BungalowsPlaya del Carmen
