Huge property and the cheaper Zen section is actually the nicest, at least in term of the public areas. Service was outstanding, utterly faultless and the food was gourmet level and way above what you'd expect of an all-inclusive. Great location just a 5 minute taxi ride from Playa Del Carmen. Highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were very nice and good range of food choices with very good quality with great service from the top quality staff.
Room was great with own bar and water etc housekeeping was little hit and miss some days but I easily sorted.
Beware you will have to experience the usual sales team trying to get you to sign up to various memberships. We knew what we were getting into with the presentation but you do get resort credits which was great for the...

Petit Lafitt was perfect for what we wanted. We had toured Mexico City, Merida, Tulum and finally Playa Del Carmen. We were aware this area would be very different to all those I'd mentioned before so opted for somewhere that would be more homely than the larger resorts.
It did not disappoint, food was freshly cooked every night rather than a buffet. You had two options and the menus changed daily for both breakfast and dinner. The beach front bar served a lovely lunch if you decided to have an...

We stayed here March 2016 - what a lovely hotel. Small beach with loungers for hotel guests great snorkelling from the beach. Husband went diving from the dive shop next door and had the best dive he has ever had! He saw turtles, lobsters the size of small dogs, sting ray and an abundance of fish and coral. Lovely food in the restaurant too from their 'new' menu. We wished we had stayed longer.

Well what can I say,an excellent hotel 5 minutes from the main ferry terminal.
The reception (Francesca) was super friendly and quick. We were shown to our room which was lovely and bright.
The amenities in our room (103) were great, which included a decent hairdryer, towels for the bathroom and rooftop pool, netflix is available on the large TV.
The roof terrace gives fantastic views across the town and sea.
Breakfast isn't provided however the lobby has free coffee and pastries throughout the...

Location was great. Rooms were large and ok. All required amenities were fine. Wifi good apart from at the beach.
Plenty of choice for food places.
Dislikes: Same menu at Explorean restaurant. The Italian restaurant at Fiesta was disappointing. Staff trying to get you to join their frequent programme which we were not interested but they kept asking us.

This property is set up for divers. We especially loved the option to shore dive independently and did several excellent night dives. Boat diving was also great and we were well looked after by all staff working with the dive shop.
The food was varied and excellent. Again, all staff were fabulous and made our stay very comfortable. The live music was also great.
The rooms are a little tired but if your focus is on diving it really isn’t an issue. They are very spacious and we loved having a...

Nice hotel, good location, beautiful beach, very kind staff, good food in different restaurant options, different activities during the day for the kids. All in all would definitely recommended.

This hotel had the best outside area: Mini coral reef for snorkelling with the fish, jacuzzi, pool and sandy sunbathing area.
Inside was nice too but we had to change rooms as the air conditioning didn't work and there was no fridge to keep drinks cold.
I would go back, we loved it.

Great base for a trip based on Scuba ... but much of the food service (except Grill and Cevicheria) is mediocre at best, both in choice and quality.
Although 'All Inclusive' the premium items are exorbitant ... and in the case of the premium wines we tried, very poor - worse than the house wine.
We got VIP vouchers, but they are virtually impossible to spend, without spending huge amounts on top.
As this is out of town and the taxis are now very expensive (always pay in Pesos), think...
