Solaria Hotel

Solaria Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"For first time visitors to Hà Nội, we did not appreciate how close and central the Solaria Hotel was to everything we wanted to see! Set right near Hoàn Kiếm Lake, it was walkable to nearby tourist highlights and souvenir destinations. However, the area comes alive on the weekend as the nearby streets are turned into a walking street, with vibrant nightlife and family-friendly options. The buzzing sounds of the city were not unpleasant to wake up to, and we still felt rested in a comfortable bed with a clean room. Hotel staff were immensely helpful, hardworking, and diligently attentive to our needs, providing helpful advice to first time (but definitely not last time!) visitors to Viet Nam, ensuring we were contacted in advance, helping us to avoid scam taxis by arranging airport transfers for a very low fee, and keeping the room tidy and comfortable in the August heat. We loved our stay and we will be recommending to family and friends to stay here if they’re ever in Hà Nội too."

L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi

L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi

10/10 Excellent
"First-Class Hotel with Exceptional Staff What a cracking hotel! L’Hôtel du Lac Hanoi was a fantastic place to stay and provided a wonderfully calm and comfortable base in the middle of the vibrant, busy and sometimes hectic city of Hanoi. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We were greeted with a welcome drink and provided with a wealth of helpful information about Hanoi and the surrounding area. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. The breakfast was absolutely first class, with an excellent selection and great service. What impressed us most, however, was how the hotel reacted when we had an unexpected problem on the day we left. Our onward pickup had been arranged by our next hotel, but there was an issue with the transfer and three of our suitcases were left behind. Rather than this becoming a major problem, the team at L’Hôtel du Lac immediately stepped in to help. A special thank you to the hotel manager, Louis, who personally took care of our three suitcases and kept them safely at the hotel until our next hotel could arrange to collect them later that evening. The way Louis and the team responded to our predicament was incredibly positive, reassuring and professional. Hanoi is an amazing, vibrant and hectic city, so returning to such a quiet, comfortable and exceptionally well-run hotel was a real pleasure. First-class hotel, first-class breakfast and, most importantly, first-class people."
