"You get what you pay for!"
The owners of this hotel describe it as a Luxury bed and breakfast, it is far from. The wallpaper is hanging from the walls, curtains were hanging off their rails and most of the paintwork was pealing off.
In my room, the bathroom was less than clean - there was a used sticking plaster resting on top of the shower screen, the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and when I sat on the toilet seat I nearly fell off, because it wasn't fastened on properly. Happily I discovered that the bedding and towels were clean, although when i bent over to pick something up off the floor I did notice that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in weeks either. To top it all off, the complimentary tea and coffee looked like it had been sat in the room for quite a while and there was no milk.
Lastly, the breakfast. Thankfully I don't like a cooked breafast in a morning, which is a good thing because there wasn't one. Breakfast consisted of a selection of cereals, a couple of slices of toast with margarine and jam in little pots that obviously hadn't been washed between refills, and a glass of squash. I eventually got some tea, but at the end of the meal.
Finally, I had to ring the doorbell everytime I wanted to get into the hotel as we weren't provided with a front door key. The only good thing about this hotel, is that thankfully the staff are friendly and helpfull. Overall, It was cheap, the bed was clean and the staff friendly, but I wouldn't stay there again.
