"I stayed at the Thistle on a layover at Heathrow. It was a quick and enjoyable pod ride to the hotel and the automatic check in was very efficient. Managed to check into my room within less than an hour from touching down. The room is the standard English hotel room, the bed is comfortable, and everything I needed was there. I would have liked to get something at the restaurant but found myself falling asleep right away! Great place to stay on a layover from Heathrow. I would definitely go again."

"I stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a decent experience. The property is located right next to the M25, but surprisingly, the noise wasn’t particularly bothersome. Breakfast is served as a buffet, and the quality is good, although the selection is quite limited. For a longer stay, I would probably find it disappointing, but for two nights, it didn’t make much difference. I had a deluxe room, which was very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom could definitely use an update. There is a bathtub without a handheld shower, which isn’t very practical. On the positive side, the room included plush bathrobes, a Nespresso machine with capsules, hot chocolate, biscuits, and an incredibly comfortable bed. The bathroom amenities were provided in dispensers (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion). The hotel seems extremely popular with older guests travelling in organised groups — at times it felt a bit like being in a care home. On the ground floor, there is a lovely spa and a modern gym equipped with Technogym machines. They offer group classes both in the gym and in the pool, and there are several types of saunas as well as a massage chair."

"Room, food and service were all excellent - especially Jayne in the Bar / Dining area. Only minor drawback was the temperature of the hot water in the shower and bathroom - not very hot."

"The breakfast was average with good value. My TV remotes battery was low and I could not use the TV. The staff came up with a replacement with new batteries. A shower conditioner was empty. beter review is required of all amenities prior to making public. Not sure if I would recommend."

"I reguarly stay here before returning home flying from Terminal 5,it is only 20 minutes in a taxi. The Hotel is extremely well located and all of the Staff are always very helpful"

"Airport shuttle is not free and is a paid service. Beds are not comfortable enough. No water bottles in the room or for free. Breakfast and servers are great!"

"Stayed at this hotel many times before or after a trip Parking can sometimes be a challenge but you can normally squeeze in This time we were met and greeted by staff in the foyer Check in is straight forward The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren and sometimes you have to walk a fair distance to your room Always nicely presented but this time the air con was ineffective and we couldn’t open a window We are in cast iron and the food was great even though we seemed to wait a long time for it Staff are very nice Breakfast is excellent with a good range to choose from We will be back as and minor issues outweigh what is normally a comfortable stay"
