"Barcelo Maya is a huge resort and I think it would be great for family. The beach is very nice. You can see lots of fish from the beach by the Hotel Palace, and also enjoy very sandy/smooth beach by hotel Beach. I visited five specialty restaurants for staying for five nights. I enjoyed all of them, but Caribeno - seafood restaurant was the best. Brasserie - the French restaurant was slow to bring out food and to be seated, but their food was excellent as well. If you visit Rodizio, Brazilian stakehouse, choose the skewer option. They will bring out like 7 different meat for you. La Fuente Spenish restaurant and Marenostrum, seafood restaurant was good as well, but I liked the three from Palace more. I was there during the week, and it seemed that they didn't open Kyoto or Tokyo. Room was kept clean and mini bars stocked every day. We had two different rooms, and one room with 4 people was humid, even with A/C and the ceiling fan on. (not hot; it was cool but humid - the floor was a little slippery time to time.) Almost all the staff you see were very nice and courteous. We all enjoyed the stay very much, and will probably come back."

"TRS was fantastic! We went for our 6th anniversary and they did so many cute things to recognize it, like rosepetals on the bed, notes and rose petals on our tables for dinner, and adorable little gifts. Ricardo, Miguel, George, Jesus, and some others like the manager of the French restaurant (name is escaping us) were AMAZING! So attentive and helpful, especially as it was our first time ever staying at an all inclusive. We paid for the premium experience and, while it's expensive, I think it's absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! Food was fantastic, from the breakfast and lunch buffet at Helios to dinners at Gaucho and La Boheme. The cabaret at Chic was fantastic and the main pool overlooking the ocean is incredible. Overall fabulous experience ✨️ "

"Easy to find the transportation from the airport and the transfer was smooth; Food was absolutely awesome in every spot!; Great drinks; delightful & gracious staff; terrific music at The Guayacamas (sp?) Bar in the evening was a fun way to end each day... Will definitely be back! "

"The TRS pool was amazing and they had fun aqua activities during the day like aerobics and water bike class. Overall the service was amazing no matter where you were from the check-in, to shops, to dining and concierge. The resort was pristine everywhere. The only little hiccup was waiting for shuttles to take you from different areas, sometimes the wait was a little long in the heat but it wouldn't deter me from staying again! Shout out to Angel at the front desk, Adrian at concierge and David and Cielo at Villa 59 and the entire staff at Helios for exceptional service!"

"This was our fourth visit to the resort. We were initially hesitant to return since our previous experiences had been somewhat bland. However, this time was completely different — from the moment we arrived, we truly felt the warmth and hospitality. Samantha made our check-in seamless and even arranged for us to get our rooms earlier than expected. She was very thorough in explaining all our VIP perks. We received a pink wristband that granted us access to the three sister resorts, which was a wonderful bonus. Thank you, Samantha, for your exceptional service! Tomas and Mauricio (Kukulcan), Eddy (Portofino), and Fabian (Akumal Buffet) went above and beyond to make Sofía's birthday extra special. We truly appreciate the kindness and attention they showed us. We also visited BPG Akumal and BPG Tulum, and each resort had its own unique charm. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the waterpark at BPG Coba, the beach at Akumal, and the pool at Tulum. The grounds were immaculate, the beach was beautiful, the pools and rooms were spotless, and the food and drinks were fantastic. We’re already looking forward to returning!"
