"One of the main pools had been shut down for renovation since March and we arrived on June 1st. There was also one of the main restaurants shot down for renovations. The day after we arrived they were redoing the lobby as well. Although there were lots of renovations which limited some of our activities the staff were 100% attentive and amenable. We had a swim up room on the adults only side and unfortunately a few evenings while we were resting in our room we had others who took it upon themselves to sit up on our private patio and in our chairs. I suppose this could happen at any resort but we found it a bit annoying. The best thing I can say is the staff go out of their way to make your stay the best."

"This is my 6th time vacationing there! Rooms are clean and amenities are good enough. It’s the best playground for adults only. Food is okay. My favourite restaurants are Sutra and Sea Flirt. The waiters and bartenders are the BEST!!! The playmakers know how to keep the party going. My only minus point is the long survey they ask me to fill out when checking out. Hopefully I can opt out of doing that next time."

"The staff was great the food was amazing for a all inclusive but the hotel needs a major renovation, the rooms are stale and old. At some point you need to replace things and not paint over them. If I had a lot of kids and wanted to make sure they ate well this is the place, I guess I couldn't get over the age of the property."

"Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Riu Cancun, but there are a few areas that could be improved. * The food selection felt repetitive, with many of the same options available every day. * Some liquor brands and drink options were not consistently available, limiting guest choices. * The property could benefit from more trees and shaded areas to provide better protection from the sun, especially around the pool and outdoor spaces. * The sports bar needs more seating and additional space, as it can become crowded during busy times. The staff were friendly, and the location is excellent, but these improvements would make the guest experience even better."

"We had an outstanding time with our two kids (20 months and 4.5years old). The property is wonderful and so are the people. Food is available throughout the resort with no wait times, same goes for beverages. Loungers were available at any time during the day as well. Beach is beautiful and wide, kids enjoyed playing in the sand. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way for us to make our experience even more fun. It was an incredible, relaxing vacation and we would go back in a heartbeat."
