This hotel has a lot of energy. I would say if you are an outgoing, music loving, energetic, people meeting, dancing, interactive person, this is the hotel for you. Don't get me wrong, you can relax and chill, but it is a "partying" vibe to me. Not necessarily a teenage vibe(18 min age), but an elderly millennial, Gen X'er vibe. Friendly, fun, outgoing people everywhere. The elevators literally have a mind of their own, which makes it a fun place to meet people and an adventure every time! The food to me was excellent! The alcohol was name brands, not well stuff. The waitstaff and bartenders were fun, friendly, and attentive.(Except the outside pizza guy) Bring $1's and $5's for tips(not required). Fernando, the head of entertainment, makes that place fun! He is one of the best hype men I'v ever seen! We were there 5 days and only left 1 day to go on excursions. The rest of the time we stayed at the hotel. In the many times I'v been to Cancun, this is the 1st time I never "left the hotel". The rooftop bar and pool is nice, but you have to pay for drinks on that floor, with a few exceptions. The 3rd floor is where the party is at night. It goes until 1 am. Pools stop serving drinks at 6pm and close at 7pm. Sounds early but there are more things to do at the hotel. I would recommend to politely say "No Thank You" when you check in to the 1.5 hr presentation. That's all I have to say about that. Bring sunscreen($30us) and if you plan to go on an excursion bug spray($28us)

It wasnt the best time. I always stay there.. this time it smelled, and first few nights wasnt the best with our butler the staff was able to fix that problem. Just hope it get fixed. I love this place. Just not this time.

Top shelf liquor was not provided as detailed on itinerary. Not pleased with Butler service as you did not receive what was detailed upon booking. Resort charged extra fees due to IT outage. Although the staff was friendly, I will never vacation at that resort again.

Celebrated my best friend's 30th birthday here and they did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, informative and super attentive. Fernando with the Vibe Team was an amazing host for any and all events that were occurring. All of the staff made us feel safe and welcomed, Angel, Williams, Luis, Miguel, Naomi, Damian, the list goes on and on! The elevators are a bit of a drag but it also was a great way to meet new people. The food options seemed to lack much flavor or taste but I understand there is a large crowd of people to appease to. We did leave the resort 2 nights and the hotel is located super close to the strip of attractions. Overall, this is a place I would return and recommend to others.

Overall the stay was good, and the service was excellent. Our butler Amado was amazing. Extremely helpful & he made great recommendations. We overlooked all the inconveniences mainly because of Amados excellent service. The resort was clean, all the staff was great and the beach was breathtaking. The negatives, the resort was under construction in the lobby which was loud. The elevators are a big issue. You will wait up to 10mins for an elevator. If you have reservations or an Uber waiting on you add 10mins for just the elevators. Our room had a foul smell of sewage. Housekeeping came and sprayed the room which covered up the odor for a couple of hours. The smell came from the shower, sink & toliet. Everytime we used the water. The smell was the worst of the inconveniences. Lastly, getting a good drink was challenging. We were diamond club which comes with premium liquor. I ordered every drink on their menu & ALL were very watered down. We also reserved a cabana with bottle service, it came with a bottle of tequila. My husband & I drank the whole bottle of tequila & barely got a buzz. No doubt, the tequila was watered down. Never, have we drank a full bottle of tequila & only get a buzz. In hindsight, I'm glad we didnt get drunk, however, the fact that we paid $200.00 for a watered down bottle of tequila is the problem. With all that being said, we still had a great time. The guests & staff made it wonderful. Everyone was there to have fun & we enjoyed our vacay!

I have visited this hotel annually for the past four years, but this will be my last visit. Upon arrival, I noticed construction in the lobby, with a damaged ceiling and rags on the floor catching water from the AC vents. As the days progressed, my shower filled with water every time l used it, and pieces of plaster fell from the ceiling into the shower. Two elevators were out of service, leading to excessive wait times, with one instance taking 20 minutes to reach my room. The final straw came the night before my departure when I decided to iron an outfit using the provided clothes steamer. The face of the steamer came off, and I called the front desk to request a replacement. The following morning, during checkout, I was notified of a $600 charge for the steamer. I urge everyone to thoroughly inspect their rooms and report any issues immediately upon arrival, as the hotel may attempt to charge you for pre-existing conditions. It is disappointing to say that after four years, this hotel will no longer receive my business.

My husband and I just returned from 5 days at Royalton Chic, it was an amazing experience. The staff were friendly, kind, and eager to please. Kuri, a waiter at the beach area was awesome he always made sure my husband and I were taken care of and had full drinks. Alex and Victor at Cloud 9 created and presented an incredible dining experience. If you have the chance to eat at Cloud 9, do it!!! Overall, this resort's food, drink, and location make it an incredible experience. My husband and I are trying to figure out when we can return.

Everything was as advertised. We did the parasailing one day and it was awesome. Hung out under the palm trees next to the pool and Fernando kept our drinks full. All the restaurants were tasty. Have already said if we come back to Cancun we will be staying at the Royalton CHIC

Not worth the price. The floor/ sheets in our room were wet/ damp from the humidity. 2 of the restaurants were closed and we were not told this upon checking in. They left a note on our door saying we were being gifted a service of our choosing but when we got down to the lobby to claim it, it turned out it would only be given to us if we sat through a 90 minute sales pitch. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is well maintained, staff are friendly. The only minor complain is the bathroom amenities are not refilled in each bathroom daily. We stayed in the two bedroom suite with three bathrooms.

Severely underwhelmed upon arrival and for that it gets 1 star. I want to feel like I’m on vacation at a beautiful location, but it felt like I was at a poorly ran high rise. Building: There was no AC in multiple locations, the rooms smelled like mildew, and the lobby was falling apart. The entire building was crumbling and a ceiling collapsed in the salon so it was unavailable for use. Food: the food was good. I’d rate it higher than other resorts I’ve been to in Mexico. Staff: the staff was nice and we had a butler who took care of our needs. Overall, do not recommend you spend your money here.

The resort is very pretty and they kept the beach area clean. Chopsticks was amazing, good breakfast buffet, the Italian was okay, and Hunters was a waste of food because it wasn’t good minus the Onion soup that I enjoyed. All in all a great location and a great time.
