The staff are like family and they make you feel that way as well some of them have been here for 25 years many of them over 10 years! Its very well managed and operated and feels very safe! Lots of nice families playing in the pools and water park! Its is great value as well!
We stayed for 2 nights. You get access to the beach, jetski rental, kayak rental. Ferry to isla mujeres is within walking distance. The hotel is nice. The food was ok and you dont get name brand drinks in the all inclusive package. But overall we had a good time and the price is reasonable for what you get.
Spotless room, great staff, right on the beach, and a short stroll from the ferry to Isla mujeres. Pools and hot tub were excellent, food was very good!

The staff is amazing!!!
Tadeo, the hotel hospitality and entertainment director, is the most positive
Aquamarina Beach Hotel has a very good location, close to the beach and convenient for getting around. The hotel offers great value for the price, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was done on time and the room was kept clean.
However, there were a couple of downsides: the hot water was limited, and the blankets provided at night were not warm enough, so it felt a bit cold.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a budget-friendly stay with an excellent location.
I went on a solo trip to Cancun and stayed at Aquamarina. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the hotel since I planned to be out most of the time doing excursions.
I booked a package with the all-inclusive breakfast. The breakfast was about a 5/10 — not a lot of variety and mostly the same options each day. The hotel itself feels a bit outdated, but the front desk staff were nice.
Overall, it was okay for a short stay. The beach is small and I didn’t end up swimming since I spent most of my time out exploring. The location is convenient though — close to tacos, Starbucks, OXXO, and a BBVA bank.

Disliked: Amenities
The rooms were just okay. The beds were really low and not comfortable at all. Staff were very nice but overworked and single threaded. We went to dinner and only 2-3 hosts were available for all of the tables. This hotel is good for the very last minute booking.
Everything was pretty good. Nice service & staff. However, Silly to try and charge us in the restaurant for a small glass of milk for our babies bottle … a classy and kind gesture would be to gladly give us some milk. Seriously???
good rooms, excellent location in the heart of the hotel zone, very good value. The food not a lot of choices in buffet, but good. The facilities are very good. Service excellent.
We stayed recently, a family of 9 across 3 rooms.
The hotel itself is “nice enough” at a surface level — the location is convenient, and the general facilities are decent. However, it is significantly overpriced for what you actually get. The rooms and overall standard don’t align with the cost, especially compared to other options in Cancún.
The biggest issue for us was the presence of mould in our room. This wasn’t minor — it was noticeable and concerning. We were travelling with our son, who has a significant respiratory condition, so air quality is extremely important for his health. This really put a damper on our stay and made it difficult to relax or feel comfortable in the rooms.
Because of this, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again, particularly given the price point. With some improvements — especially addressing maintenance and room conditions — it could be a much better experience, but in its current state, it’s hard to justify the cost.

We booked this last minute, and it was a really nice place to stay with two young children. It is right by the beach. It also has two pools, and a zero entry water park. There was a buffet or order off the menu option for all meals. A few things would make it better: the pools were pretty cold. Our kids love the water, but they had a hard time

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5
This is a budget all-inclusive resort and is worth every penny.
The rooms are extremely clean, although the bathrooms are a bit small. One of the best features is that every room appears to have an ocean view, which is a huge plus for a resort in this price range.
The food is good, not great, but acceptable for a budget all-inclusive.
What truly stands out is the staff. Everyone — from the front desk and bellhops to housekeeping, waitstaff, bartenders, and security — was outstanding and very welcoming.
I traveled solo and stayed for six nights. I had stayed here over 30 years ago and returned for nostalgia. I honestly enjoyed it even more this time and would definitely stay again.
