Fantastic hotel, staff are wonderful. Went for my birthday, clean hotel, lovely big pool, eateries close by. Got around using Uber but plenty of taxis too. Bavaro beach 10 min taxi drive away. Airport 20mins away. The staff are truly amazing here. Are hotel lunch which was delicious. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much. Relaxed on the cabanas. Coco bongo is walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel

We had a very enjoyable stay- family holiday- everything was of a high standard at majestic colonial, the staff the amenities, the food the location/ weather the day trips to monkeyland. We are hoping to come back in coming years

Wow! What a fabulous stay! The resort is huge and self contained metropolis! First and foremost I want to give a huge shout out to Norielis who was our personal Butler service she was amazing!!! We had a swim up suite which was Fabulous! Everything but Everything! Was amazing! Food gardens restaurants entertainment! If I could leave a 7 star review I certainly would! Everything about Barceló Bávaro Beach was outstanding! Food, staff, private beach, cocktails! My only criticism would be that the rooms (especially bathrooms) desperately need upgrading considering the cost to stay there.

Really nice hotel, fantastic big beach, rooms are great and beds are extremely comfortable - food is US quality which means if you’re up for small freshly baked organic things, forget it …

Excellent stay

Secrets Tides was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful, and the rooms were very clean, spacious, and well maintained. The resort offers three pools, excellent drinks, and outstanding facilities and services throughout. We had a great week in Punta Cana and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the sea at the hotel was full of seaweed. The hotel staff are doing their best to clear it, but it does make the beach less ideal for swimming. Will be a 5* but need to polish up on the finer details to make customer experiences better; small requests seemed difficult. As an English traveller we definitely fell through a language gap with the staff especially on the front desk (everyone else seemed to get a welcome drink) and room services side but also appreciate our lack of Spanish doesn't help. It is an amazing place. I miss it everyday since coming back. The best service and the people seemed like they wanted to be there. The cocktail were sooo nice and the food was delicious. I wish we lived closer to come back every year.

High end resort, staff very accommodating, always a different activity or event on during the evening

The property is lovely and well maintained. We had a great room with its own pool. Most the restaurants were great. Our concierge Raul was great and nothing seemed too much trouble. Was disappointed about the hard sell for Palladium Travel Club which was frankly uncomfortable and wasted half a day.
