Restaurants were amazing. You only had two schedule two reservations and the rest were walk in and you didn’t have to wait in line. Drink service was lacking unlike other resorts I have been in. Most resorts serve the drinks and you too the server but not here which is fine. Just had to go up and get your own drinks and then I found that no one was really tipping at the bar.

Situation and facilities were amazing. Room lovely, swimming pools marvelous. Two swim up bars absolutely brilliant. Very dramatic location. Plenty to do-lots of choice. Music all around the site. Our Butler, Sam, was amazing. Very helpful and a fantastic communicator. All the staff were super-they make the whole experience very special. Food was only downside. Speciality restaurants were very good, but normal restaurants were only average. Possibly a matter of us being Brits, and the food type aimed at US tastes. Having said that, the range of locations was amazing-breakfast right by the beach-a bbq every day if we wanted to-two speciality restaurants. We had a superb time and would return in a heart beat

"I didn't like this hotel at all. We booked a junior room with 2 queen beds, but when we arrived, there was only one queen bed. We notified the front desk and the guest service office, and they told us they would bring the extra bed in an hour. We waited 5 more hours, and the bed still hadn't arrived. When the bed finally arrived, it didn't have sheets, blankets, or extra pillows, and there were three of us traveling. We made another complaint at 11 pm, and they told us they would bring extra sheets and towels, but no one ever arrived. The next day, it was already 3 pm, and no one had brought sheets or pillows. Additionally, there were cockroaches on the bathroom mirror. The bathroom was dirty... I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I know, and I wouldn't return. I paid a lot of money to lose it... We had to change hotels and decided to leave the next day at 3 pm."

It started off rough. The A/C in our room didn't work and the A/C unit made a loud noise. We tried calling the front desk but noone answered the phone. Me & my wife had to sleep in another family members room til the next day. Thank goodness we had that option or we would have sweated all nite. We were able to get another room the next day. Because of our situation, the resort assigned us a 24hr consierge. This gentlemen, who works at Guest Services named Sanyel, did an absolute AMAZING job assisting us with anything & everything we needed. The food was AWESOME. We tried every single restaurant the resort offered & every single one was phenomenal. Room service was great. Room was cleaned twice a day. I would highly recommend this resort to all my family & friends.

We stayed at majestic colonial, but other ones next to it are better than colonial. Not a lot of vegetarian options at resort. Staff is good . Person assigned to me was helping us make reservations . For VIP members,Room service was included but its not good though. We ordered food and we never got it in night and no one picked up phone for room service after 11 pm .

We celebrated several birthdays including my daughter’s 16th. Yeraimys from Guest Services was beyond helpful and attentive. She answered questions/provided advice in a timely fashion. Yeraimys was able to execute a wonderful sunset dinner on the beach for my daughter. It turned out beautiful. I gave her a detailed explanation of what I needed and she made it work. She also helped with our dinner rez. She was absolutely amazing. Generally speaking our junior suite was big enough for my family of 4 buI do have two complaints: 1) beds need updating 2) layout of the room is awkward. There is no area to change clothes in private/toilet stall is extremely small. My teenage daughters had to resort to change in the shower stall or the closets. Very inconvenient. The staff at Majestic Colonial always pleasant/ friendly especially Ricardo whom we had the pleasure of getting to know during our stay. The breakfast buffet at the Supreme was always wonderful. The lunch at La Hispanola was just as great. Ricardo always had a table waiting for us. He got to know where we enjoyed sitting and what we liked to drink. Cocktails for the adults and soft drinks for the kids. He was phenomenal. The restaurants for dinner were also very good. Our favorites were Ma Suri (Asian) and Le Gourmet (French). Pool: Activities were so much fun!! Beach: Clean. Warm water. Calm waves. Evening entertainment: We preferred the activities in the smaller area by the pool. Karaoke night was our favorite!

Overall the resort was beautiful. Offered wow factor in regards to amenities. Where the resort falls short is in their staff's mishaps - ie. We were seated for breakfast and before we got back to the table our table was gone and cleaned up and another time we got back to the table and a chair was pulled from us. It would take forever for a water or coffee service to come as well. Their phone system was not allowing me to connect to guest services after many attempts. Only room service worked. Their indoor jacuzzi was broken and a walk from the room to guest services was a chore. Would've been ideal to have the phone working. The food was only okay - very very slow service when it came to prepared meats or breakfast items - causing very long lines and staff not making it easier by multitasking (putting multiple burgers on the grill with steak and chicken).

Great location for adults but not for kids. All the kids activities were not working properly or at all. Slides didn’t have enough water going down them causing the kids to get stuck. Foosball, ping pong and pool tables were all damaged. The video game room was not working. This resort should fix all the kids activities or stop advertising this as a family resort. Plenty of great adult activities were available.

I liked that there were lots of options for food. However, the food quality at all the places was not great. The service at the restaurants was not great either. 1 night at 1 of the restaurants the order was lost and then once we asked about it was close to closing time they did complete the order but everything was rushed. Another night at 1 of the restaurant’s again our order was lost. We asked and was told 10 more minutes. After 30 more minutes went by we just left. The over all vibe wasn’t friendly. There were a few really good waiter and bartenders but over all not great. My biggest complaint was at the beach. There are way to many people selling stuff. We are there to relax and have good family time and you can’t go more than 20 minutes without someone trying to sell you something. I would recommend the resort have some kind of sign we can hang at the shade umbrella to let the people selling stuff know if we want to be bothered or not. Overall I didn’t dislike the experience however I wouldn’t go back.

There was moled in my room so we had to change rooms and the other room they changed us too still smelled like moled. It was a super bad experience. We got sick from the moled as your doctor told us because we had a really bad cough when we landed in New york.

We really enjoyed our stay in this resort. It has everything we needed to enjoy our vacation, including a Casino and a nightclub. Food was excellent, and the staff is great. Especial thanks to our butler Yoel. He did must of our reservations and also helped with the checking out, so we didn't have to make the line. Overall a very nice vacation. Thumbs up to Majestic Resorts.
