The 4 of us were very comfortable and appreciated having a full kitchen and a restroom on each level. We enjoyed our 3 day stay although we wished the house had better wifi upstairs (we couldn't use Google Translate to figure out the bath and stove controls), better AC upstairs, and a place to store clothes and hang towels. We stayed there with our young kids and parents, and everyone enjoyed the stay and slept comfortably. If you're staying in the tatami rooms and are used to soft beds, then you'll likely find the bedding to be very firm. You can double up the mattresses and futon. Theres only one bath room, which is typical for homes in Japan and it was very nice and clean. And the sauna felt so good...
