It was right on the beach and our room faced the ocean which was awesome. Dining options were not that great. Portions are small and if we ask for anything additional the waiters get annoyed. The buffet options get boring after a while and when I asked the lady to make me a custom omelette with just veggies and cheese because I don't eat eggs she was annoyed. The mexican a la carte place has the tiniest food portions and we had to order multiple items to call it a filling meal. Same with the Italian restaurant. Really tiny portions of food. Seems more like a sampler option and when you order anything extra they get annoyed. They kept us waiting for almost an hour to get our small portion of food in the Mexican restaurant and in the Italian restaurant. We had to go back to the buffet eventually to feel like we actually had a meal. The 24 hours cafe is okay. They only have sweet crepes and no savory options. The coffee is not so wow. It's average. Could do better than that.

Facility is clean and looks just like photos. Food needs a lot of work. They definitely need more breakfast options and foods needs more seasoning and effort. Food workers look frustrated. The majority of staff is attentive and nice.

I did a lot of research on all-inclusive resorts of average cost before deciding on Royal Uno. I looked @ both positive & negative reviews. My experience was overall a Great One and I'd definitely come back! One of the main reasons for choosing Royal Uno was the recent rennovations and the food/drinks. The resort and the rooms are fantastic. No issues with our rooms on the 11th floor E side. The food and service at the Italian, Mexican (must try the Chamorro!), Snack Shack, and Hibachi (only one that needs reservation) were also very good! The buffet was fair with a few items that were good. My experience with all-inclusive resorts is that one should not expect the buffet to be all that great unless you're paying $1000 a night. It's the restaurants that make the difference IMHO. Nevertheless, we did not go hungry nor get sick from the food. I also thought the staff was wonderful. I didn't see any preferential treatment (as mentioned in few bad reviews) and was treated as a guest should be. No pressure on time-sharing pitch. If you go during the high season, expect to wait longer times for your food at the restaurants and w/ so many ppl coming from all parts of the world, it doesn't surprise me to see or hear about anyone getting sick (refering to few bad reviews). If you are prudent in washing your hands, it will help not to catch anything. Setting realistic expectations when going abroad is ideal in having a great experience and fun vacation. We did! :)

Lo mejor del resort son los restaurantes y la vista, el servicio es bueno, la calidad de las bebida es fatal, para familia con niños sería una buena opción, para parejas y grupos que quieran diversión no. Lo que no me gusto fue que se me perdió un perfume de mi habitación para no decir que lo cogieron y todavía sigo esperando que me den aunque sea una justificación.__. Después de eso todo bien.
