My Wife & I came back to Secrets after 4 years and visiting some other resorts and this is the best experience we've had doing all inclusive in Mexico! Everything from the Staff, to the food, the rooms, the property are all fantastic! Can't wait to go back. The only thing to be prepared for is a longer car ride to get out there compared to other Cancun based options, but totally worth it.

The property had a great staff with very friendly people. Once you find the restaurants you like this place is great. Oceanas on the water was amazing. Great fish tacos. The Mediterranean place at the other resort had great food as well. The bar staff had great customer service and always greeted you with a smile. I would come back again for sure.

The resort was very nice, rooms, bed and bedding was great, the staff was exceptional, the restaurants were good for the most part. I found the resort much more expensive than other comparative resorts I stayed with so for that reason only, I likely would not stay again.

The check-in was amazing! I had read in other reviews that we would be bombarded with sales pitches to be part of some timeshare sort but this was not the case. We were the preferred club and were ushered to the preferred club check-in where America (our concierge) was amazing in giving us all the details on the property. The service was 5 stars all the way! We had the most beautiful view from our large suite but I would take care to choose your room if you care about the view. Some rooms farther back from the beach we would NOT have been happy with. Our only complaint was restaurant closures and the "nightclub". Friday night of our visit 2 of the most popular restaurants were closed. This was very frustrating as we were only there 4 nights and had planned where we wanted to eat each night. The app does tell you what is open or closed the day of but we never imagined 2 would be closed on a Friday night. The nightclub doesn't lower the lights until 11 and even after 11 it is very lame DJ music and environment. Also, this seems trivial but the LED rings that are right outside the nightclub were in all the pretty pics and I had my list of photo ops that included these. They were broken and not lit up when we were there.

Overall this hotel was good. I didn’t feel the over the top luxury that some have stated in the reviews. The beds and pillows were ok, food was ok, and the atmosphere was very quiet. The club is only good if you get a group of people who like to party, otherwise your the only one there. My biggest disappointment was the sun umbrellas. I am fair and need shade. Due to the wind I was not allowed to use an umbrella, all 7 days. I actually had to leave during the height of the day so I wouldn’t get burned. Only if I became a preferred member fpr approx $110/night and switch my room would I have access to a Bali Bed where I could get shade. I have been to many resorts and this is the first time I could not get shade. Luxury to me is the Melia group hotels, this one was ok, but not worth the money.
