Vince Hotel Pratunam

26/2 Alley 2, Petchaburi 11, Bangkok - Map
"2nd time I have stayed there in two months"
The first time the room was larger this time it was adequate. It's a New hotel just some minor quirks. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was included in the price it was very good deal not to miss. I chose to stay there for the location and loved the fact the room had no stale carpets. I chose it over my crew hotel for that reason alone

First House Hotel

"Awesome stay."
Extremely close to platinum mall, just about 5minutes walk. There is also convenience store 7/11 just beside the hotel. Along the same road as the famous wanton noodles stall. Bustling with life during the day and quiet at night. Extremely cold air con. However, the heater system seems to be screwed up as the water can get very very hot. The partition between rooms also seems to be lacking. Nevertheless, it is extremely value for money stay!

"Great hotel "
The staff are very welcoming and always prepared to assist in any possible manner. The rooms are the right size for a standard room in high quality hotel. The gym is well equipped and the roof top pool is awesome. Strongly recommend.

Glow Trinity Silom

150 Silom Soi 3, Bangkok - Map
"Good value"
I needed somewhere to stay in Bangkok for one night before heading out to Ko Samui the next day. I stayed at Trinity Glow because it was it was in Silom, very close to the Patpong night markets and some of my favourite bars and clubs. Glow staff were very courteous and helpful, the premier room great value, comfortable and tidy. Breakfast was a little odd, the lighting in the single restaurant dismal. All in all, a nice little place to stay for night or two.

"Near to both mrt & bts station "
Staying at this hotel is convenient as it contains both bts & mrt station. Also, terminal 21 mall is just under the hotel which you would not worry about finding nice food, especially the food court is great & cheap enough to try.

The hotel pickup car did not turn up on arrival , the airport representative put me on a local taxi after waiting for nearly 1.30hrs bit frustrating as I had arrived at 0530hrs and would have been happy if their pick was on time . They paid my taxi fare to compensate

"Nice hotel close to shopping mall "
Very nice hotel, stay in executive suite with a great complimentary of happy hour in executive lounge. The bed is the most comfortable bed, judging from the 4 hotels I stay while in Thailand for 20 days, 2 in Bankok, 1 in Chiangmai, and 1 in Phuket. The hotel is a bit far from Suvarnabhumi airport, if you try to get to the hotel from the airport on the rush hour traffic it could take you up to 3 hours, and yes it's happened to me. However, on the normal traffics its only took an hour to get to the airport from the hotel.

    About Bangkok

It's difficult to believe Bangkok was a tiny trading post when it first became Thailand's national capital in 1768. Today, in this bustling metropolis, there are over eight million people in Bangkok and a never ending stream of modern skyscrapers alongside its sacred temples, Ko Rattanakosin Old City district, and other historic landmarks. A river cruise along the Mae Nam Chao Phraya River through the heart of Bangkok, comes with the best views of the city's modern and ancient sides.

    Don’t Miss

The Grand Palace ranks among the best places to start for anyone exploring Bangkok city. More than a century and a half after the Grand Palace was first built, this magnificent Bangkok complex is still the Thai royal family's spiritual home. The public is free to enter two of the palace's exquisite throne halls as long as they follow the proper dress code.

Wat Phra Kaew, a stunning attraction in its own right, is also located within the Grand Palace. The small, yet revered, 14th century emerald Buddha after which this temple was named was actually once displayed in another famous Bangkok temple, the riverside Wat Arun.

King Rama V first established Dusit Zoo as a royal botanical garden in 1938. Today, the zoo has become one of Bangkok's most family attractions as well as a home to more than 1,000 birds and 300 mammals.

    Restaurants and Bars

Bangkok has more than its fair share of highly ranked Thai and international restaurants. However, finding a good bite to eat in Thailand's capital is as easy and cheap as sampling one of the snacks offered by any of the city's countless street vendors. Bangkok's notorious nightlife is centred around the Khao San Road backpacker district, Sukhumvit Road, the more refined Phra Athit Road, and the infamous Soi Cowboy red-light district.

    Shopping in Bangkok

Bangkok's modern side is on display in the city's countless shopping centres, many of which contain water parks, amusement parks, and other child friendly activities. The CentralWorld shopping centre even includes an ice skating rink, while Terminal 21 combines the best of several world class cities under a single roof. Those who prefer outdoor shopping can browse the wares at the open-air Asiatique, The Riverfront or the over 15,000 stalls at the more traditional Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok.
