The staff was very helpful. We were surprised that no boxes of Kleenex were provided, nor wash clothes. Only one hand towel.

Loved the two guys at the check in counter, SUPER helpful and friendly and kind and courteous. Our room is clean and comfortable. Our first time in this area, we arrived at night so I cannot describe San Carlos. We are heading to bed and will get up @ 7am for breakfast and then head on the road again. This is a good stay and easy to find.

El hotel se encuentra sobre la calle principal donde están todos los restaurantes y muy cerca de la playa. Muy fácil hacer check-in el staff muy amable. La habitación de buen tamaño y muy limpio. El único detalle es que las paredes no son tan gruesas y se puede escuchar a los vecinos, pero eso ya es culpa de la gente gritona. 10/10 volvería a quedarme aquí.

Liked the property and was hopeful to have a nice shower. Unfortunately was underwhelmed with the shower. Shower head was a let down, water everywhere but down. A better shower head that gets the warm water to you instead of the walls. After a day of travel was disappointed.

Hotel is ok but needs to improve
The location is good however, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Upon arriving, we found the room to have puddles of water. It appeared as if the room was moped and never properly dried. It also looked as if the room was never swept because there were many hairs and sand on the floor. The check in and checkout veas also slow. We are at the restaurant and service was very slow. We had a couple of drinks out at the bar and the service there was perfect.

The desk staff at this property were top-notch, I was able to extend my reservation two nights with very little effort and our original check-in was very efficient. At no time did I wait more than 5 seconds to be helped at the front desk. We stayed here because we had sailed in to the nearby marina on our boat and in July the weather was too hot and humid to sleep on our boat without AC. The rooms at the hotel seemed to be recently renovated. The bed was firm in a way that was really comfortable and the pillows were soft in a perfectly supportive way. The shower was beautiful and large and had a wonderful shower head. If the TV had a way to stream from your own device it would have been excellent. The pool and outdoor area looked nice but we did not use it. On the third floor we weren't that disturbed by noise from activities at the pool but on a lower floor it might seem loud for some on the weekends when it is busier. It was much quieter than the marina and all the tour boats and live bands until 9 PM.

Very dissatisfied, restaurant takes over an hour to have your food ready. A/C was not working but maintenance shift was done so they told me to wait until next shift at 7am. I did not sleep because of how warm and high humidity was.

Upon check-in, we requested a room on the opposite side from the pool but we were given a room overlooking the pool. We tried to enter the room and one of the key cards didn't work. When we entered the room, we discovered that one of the two complimentary bottles of water was half full. The telephone didn't work. There were only 2 towels for 3 people. So, because the phone didn't work, we had to make trips to the front desk for towels and water. We never did get replacement water. There are signs in the room that say "don't drink the water" but then you have to buy bottled water after the first 2 complimentary ones! The property provides in-room coffee but no cups in the room and no potable water with which to prepare it! They do have a water dispenser in the lobby so if you stay, bring a water bottle! The second day, the housekeepers took all of the towels, including 1 clean one, but replaced them with only 2 instead of 3 towels. EVERY day we stayed, we had to get our room keys reprogrammed. We had very long days and instead of being able to get into the room, we made another trip to the front desk for key reprogramming! The upside is 2 for 1 Happy Hour. In spite of the issues with the property, all of the staff were very friendly.

Worst experience ever
Worst experience. Cooks were complaining because i ored food for me and my family. Was told foof would be ready in 15 received it 35 minuts later and my drinks showed up at midnight after i chased down the manager.Food WAS TERRIBLE NO FLAVOR and the shrimp wasnt even COOKED. They said they would of prefered me to leave than to stay the night. Ifnit wasnt for my family being so tired and so late i would have left. I dint evern get a discount on my stay or food only a discount on my breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was verry good though

After i made my reservation i received a message from the hotel saying i my reservation was going to be valid until 1700 hours when check in is at 1600 hours. That only gave me an hour time to check in or i would loose my reservation. Never heard of that and don't think is a reasonable request by the hotel. When i asked they said the “app” gave them the right to do so. Please let me know if this is accurate or are they making it up. Is this within Expedia policies? Thank you

Always a problem at this place
This time is what the laundry. Room not available. After waiting for over an hour past the checkin time, they decided to upgrade me to an available room. Not sure why they made me wait an hour for that. An "upgrade" was a king bed..... Felt sorry for the people working the desk. Clearly they were frustrated. No answers coming from management.

A great hotel!
Hotel stay is fantastic. Even though it is going through a reno (adding 4 th floor) it really is enjoyable overall. The hotel manager, Omar is super friendly, helpful and professional. We got a room upgrade due to the construction as well as other considerations. Staff is very friendly and helpful; a testament to Omar’s management. Property is clean and maintained impeccably. Food is great also. Located close to everything by walking.
