Wonderful stay here for 4 nights with husband and daughter. We had a ‘two doubles’ room, which had lovely comfortable beds and little kitchenette with full size fridge. We enjoyed a lovely complimentary breakfast each morning with fruit, pastries, bagels, yogurt and granola. On an evening we went up to the rooftop terrace with a bottle of wine and enjoyed the amazing views and sounds of the city - and the location is excellent, couple blocks from Time square but didn’t feel noisy or busy. Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

It was just as I expected. It was not noisy at all (being so close to Times Square).
I booked a room with a bunk bed and it was as small as shown in the pictures so definitely as expected.

Great location that was a block or two away from the hustle and bustle of 5th&6th Avenue. The staff were friendly and always on hand to offer guidance if needed.
Having Burgerology (bar/restaurant) attached to the hotel was a bonus. Nice ambience and good food options.
Would highly recommend.

This is a fabulous hotel in a great location for pounding the streets of NYc. So close to Penn station.
On arrival I was told about all the amenities that were included with the fee and the water and cookies were great.
The rooms are small but that is NYC! Definitely be fine for 2 people. Great bathroom
The bed was so comfortable and I slept really well and didn’t hear any noise from the streets.
A great place to stay

I really appreciated this hotel being my base. The staff were phenomenally friendly, welcoming and helpful. That made a big difference to me as this was my first time in NY, on a ten day trip alone. A big adventure. The mattress was firm (very important) AND there were feather pillows. Close to travel and amenities. It’s listed as three star. I see it as four star. Very good value for money.

Very clean, comfortable and quiet small hotel with very comfy bed. Breakfast included with a choice of items. They also tried to vary the hot choice daily, although not sure if the circular flat egg whites with a blob of yellow were actually eggs or reconstituted somehow?
Staff were amazing, so helpful and kind. Excellent value cf others, it’s NY, but still expensive for many international visitors.
