Hotel was ideal for its purpose. Close to everything planned for an elderly relative visiting with us.

We've stayed there before and knew what to expect and they didn't disappoint! Always helpful staff, a great room (eventually) and a really good breakfast that sets you up for the day

.

Well positioned from the Subway for to/from JFK and rest of Manhattan. Helpful, friendly staff who make you feel both welcome and a bit special.

Very impressed with our comfortable room which was exactly as described. Comfortable bed which is a must after a hard day's sightseeing and shopping and the room and bathroom were spotless The hotel was very close to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway and major department stores and attractions. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Overall a great stay, can't wait to come back and would definitely stay here again. 10/10

I had a really great stay here. From the moment we entered and received a warm and friendly welcome from Chris who was incredible throughout to the day of departure. It was amazing that Chris actually remembered our names because the hotel was full and also had celebrity guests (due to the US Open). Room was a decent size, very roomy for New York and regularly cleaned. Some previous guests have complained about the cost of eating at the hotel - it is expensive but certainly not extortionate...

I really appreciated this hotel being my base. The staff were phenomenally friendly, welcoming and helpful. That made a big difference to me as this was my first time in NY, on a ten day trip alone. A big adventure. The mattress was firm (very important) AND there were feather pillows. Close to travel and amenities. It’s listed as three star. I see it as four star. Very good value for money.

The Hotel was absolutely fabulous & certainly lived up to expectations , We had a suite on the 14th floor . The Housekeeping was brilliant & the suite was extremely comfortable . The staff could not have been more professional , helpful & informative . I cannot name them all but Barbara on Reception . Sergio & Zak in the Lex Bar & as we were celebrating a birthday we booked a table in the upstairs area of the Lex Bar & had the most beautiful meal . Nicely cooked & well presented & our server...

We truly dropped lucky when we booked The Carnegie Hotel, our first time in New York. On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly reception by Elijah and then by Alexandra who was a pleasure to chat to every day discussing all our adventures. The afternoon wine was always fun and the complimentary tea, coffee and snacks were a nice touch. The location is spot on. Central Park is less than 2 minutes walk, the subway is on the corner and Times Square is barely a 10 minute walk. We will be...

Stayed in the king room with Times Square view, it was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. As two women it felt very secure and safe, with staff at all entrances and key card needed to access lift and extra lock on the bedroom door, which was something I was looking for.

Loved the clean, well-maintained rooms.

Returned to the Peninsula after a few years' hiatus (I had an issue last time). It is an excellent place to stay if you want to be in upper Midtown. The prices can be quite punchy, but the restaurant and bar are not as mind-boggling as some, and you are getting a top notch product. The staff were friendly and helpful, and in the main not as overbearingly stuffy or as synthetically gushing as you sometimes find in similar hotels. It has a great location (5th/55th) so very handy for MoMA,...

Fab hotel, perfect location, a great rooftop area along with a cool lobby/bar area. All in all great hotel

Best hotel I have stayed at in New York from the staff to the gym to the small details they really go above and beyond. It’s pricy but you really are getting a luxury modern experience.

The hotel was very close to Central Park which was so cool. The staff were friendly and we loved the junior suite! Overall I would rate my stay as 4.5 out of 5

Lovely views from our room. Great check in staff that upgraded us to the top floor and added complimentary wifi - great welcome! Hotel was lovely only criticism is that it was so expensive to eat there.

Had a fantastic 8 days stay here only 1 thing that was a pain at 1st but did get use to it and was when you enter the hotel for the 1st set of lifts you then get out and your on reception then you have another set of lifts to get to your room, but this wouldn’t put me off I would stay there again.
