"We arrived on Christmas Eve after a 7hr taxi journey, we were greeted with a welcome drink and very friendly staff. Once escorted to our room which had an amazing view of the ocean, we discovered that the lock on our door was held on with gaffer tape and the barrel could be pushed out with your finger. The management said 'it maybe fixed before you leave it may not' So after a bit more gaffer tape and feeling totally secure in our room we also discovered the place was filthy dirty and hadn't...

"We loved staying at Mihin villa with Mahinda and his family. We were initially booked for 2 nights but extended our stay to 4. Really comfortable room, big bathroom with hot water. The WiFi worked well and there was a fridge in the room which was an added bonus. Fantastic traditional breakfast cooked by Mahinda's wife which we ate in the lovely garden. "This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. We all loved it. The staff, the grounds, the pool and the food were all excellent. Nothing was to much trouble this is a home away from home that makes you relax as soon as you arrive. Should have stayed longer and would recommend to any one of any age. "
