"Thaala Bentota is an excellent place to relax during a vacation. Awesome location and amazing food. The rooms and fittings inside the room are a bit worn out and may need replacement to enhance the visitors' experience."

"Great breakfast. Great food altogether. They were a bit odd about when we could access the beach. It was closed from 12 to 3. Which was weird but other than that a great place."

"Great location with direct access to a lovely swimmable beach. The hotel gardens also had a pool. Very good breakfast with both western and Sri Lankan food. Good restaurants nearby. Hotel room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Would stay here again. "

"Friendly staff, great location and fun activities."

"Clean property and room, walking distance to the beach. Also we had a good view from the balcony (partial sea). Very nice and accommodating staff. Suresh and Shami were very helpful. Good quality food and portion size (we didn't know that breakfast was included so I suggest checking with them beforehand). Only downside was that there were ants in our room but the staff cleaned the room promptly when we notified them. A minor thing - water pressure in the shower was low so if possible fix it."

"Property is really at good location "

"The staff were wonderful and much more helpful and friendly than the management. The room was wonderful and the food was good. It is further from the beach than other reviewers indicate but they have a very inexpensive tuk tuk service available. The pool is small but fits the bill when it is hot out and you don't want to go to the beach."

"Had to Check inn as we arrived late, nobody to take the Baggage to the rooms.Shabby rooms with insects and reptiles. No Hot water for Bathing in the Morning.Tried to talk to the Hotel staff, they agree about the condition but are helpless. The manager was interested in coming out to help. Ultimately we decided to check out and we shifted to another hotel but this hotel has denied us for the refund of the unused night. We also spoke to Expedia about the same and after checking with the hotel they...
