What a find! This place is a newly opened small boutique guest house built in Colonial style that has everything you could wish for during your stay in Hikkaduwa. Peter, the owner, is a man many years in the hospitality trade who is incredibly welcoming and hospitable, going out of his way to ensure his guests are happy and comfortable at all times. We had an amazing stay at hotel Dormero. The hotels right in front of the beach which made it very convenient for us to go around swimming and other beach activities which were nearby. The room itself was kept spotless with daily housekeeping. The staff were very nice and polite. We even had the opportunity to celebrate new years with the staff and eat amazing food. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would recommend.

First time in Sri Lanka. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us, a superb room with a balcony offering a beautiful beach view. We stayed five nights and didn't bother to eat anywhere else - the food was excellent. We wanted to take the chef home with us. We took long walks along the beaches and spent a lot of time in the wonderful hotel grounds and by the very stylish infinity pool. We want to visit Sri Lanka again soon...

The hotel is nestled in the jungle along a dirt path. Our room had a balcony, with chairs, looking over the jungle and the lake, incredibly tranquil and beautiful. It was perfect even in the rain. We were treated superbly by the staff who wrote happy birthday mum in palm leaves on the bed and produced a cake with a firework fountain on top.
