Wonderful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and clean and the staff were lovely. It would benefit from a hotel bar but we very much appreciated the bottle of wine!

Fantastic location as the hotel is close to subway station so can easily get anywhere, but it’s in a more peaceful part of town. There are loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops around. Our room (two double beds) was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Well positioned from the Subway for to/from JFK and rest of Manhattan. Helpful, friendly staff who make you feel both welcome and a bit special.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. A special mention goes to James, the manager, who was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is also in a great location for Times Square, making it easy to explore the city and all the main attractions. It was also great to be able to help ourselves to coffee and snacks throughout the day, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Breakfast did get quite busy around 9:00 am, and the food options...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Beacon. The location is great for access to the city and Central Park, with loads of places to eat and drink nearby. The staff were incredible, from the kind checkin host to the lovely housekeeper Ivy who kept the room immaculate! They also booked an airport taxi for us with no hassle. No frills room but the view was great, bed was comfortable and it was super quiet despite being on a busy road. Would definitely recommend staying

Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy hotel, nice styling, great rooftop bar, comfy big bed. Amazing location. Would stay again. Very small rooms, so not for all people. Rooftop bar had different (less) opening hours than advertised.

Lovely views from our room. Great check in staff that upgraded us to the top floor and added complimentary wifi - great welcome! Hotel was lovely only criticism is that it was so expensive to eat there.

Hotel was ideal for its purpose. Close to everything planned for an elderly relative visiting with us.

Stayed in the king room with Times Square view, it was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. As two women it felt very secure and safe, with staff at all entrances and key card needed to access lift and extra lock on the bedroom door, which was something I was looking for.

We've stayed there before and knew what to expect and they didn't disappoint! Always helpful staff, a great room (eventually) and a really good breakfast that sets you up for the day

Very clean, comfortable and quiet small hotel with very comfy bed. Breakfast included with a choice of items. They also tried to vary the hot choice daily, although not sure if the circular flat egg whites with a blob of yellow were actually eggs or reconstituted somehow? The hotel was perfect in every aspect! It's just walking distance to most of must-visit places in NYC: Times Square, Empire State Building, etc. Lots of good restaurants nearby. They also provided Happy Social Hour for free wines, which tasted very good too. The hotel ambience was homey and chic. The room was considerably big for NY hotel rooms. There were no construction noise that I was afraid reading many comments talking about it. Me and my family could have very good sleeps there for 6...
