Village Hotel Bracknell

2/10 Terrible

"Room was clean But smelt so strongly of bleach/chlorine which was overbearing, I presume our room was directly above the pool/gym area after then being woken at 7am by blaring music beneath the room which we guessed was from the gym. The night prior we ate in the restaurant which was so busy staff were all over the place and run ragged, when one of the meals arrived it was cold and when I sent it back it came out 20 mins later with no sides it originally came out with. We ordered a second round of drink which never arrived after 40 mins I asked at the bar for a refund and was told by who I presume was a manager she would look into it and come back to me but then began to serve other people waiting at the bar. We waited patiently another 20 mins but ended up just leaving as was so fed up of sat around waiting. Overall shocking service from village hotels which is disappointing as they are normally our go too hotel when travelling in the UK."

"Stayed 12th-14th june. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean etc. Only one downfall .... I booked a room and they charged me to park in the carpark 😂 , but when you go outside and look at the signs. It says free from Friday to Sunday. But otherwise excellent. I cannot fault the place. It was modern, clean, lively . Very happy and would stay again"

"Good food and a clean and very comfortable room. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The facilities included full spa services including very good facials and the rest of the treatments. The swimming pools were clean and were providing experiences for small children whilst rhe other pool catered for over 18s. It was a relaxed and very comfortable way to spend 24 hours catching up with my sister. The only down points we found were that we could not open the balcony door even after a strong member of staff had done so and we felt they badly needed a garden designer to I prove the central garden area. They said that the regular gardeners would be coming in but we felt that to really make the most of that area it would need designers and some investment."

"Great location. Checkin was very friendly. The room was nice but the finish wasn't great - needed some maintenance. Things like the taps were badly peeling, the shower tray was heavily stained which makes it feel unclean. Bed was comy enough and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was nice this morning and 12pm checkout time is great!"
