I've stayed a this hotel a few times for convenience before and after flights, but the last couple of times there is a clear focus on hard selling of a room upgrade. Other hotels give upgrades for free, yet in this hotel certain staff members makes you feel that the room you have booked is insufficient for your needs which is uncomfortable and not a pleasant experience.

This was my first time at Sofitel. We were doing an overnight transit at Heathrow T5. I was impressed by the short walk from the terminal (about 15 minutes from luggage belt to hotel), cleanliness and staff hospitality overall. Janet or Jeanette was kind enough to get us, a family of 4, in for an early check in. The room was impeccably clean and kitted out with water, juice and Nespresso as complementary. We got an extra bed for no additional charge. Toiletries were provided. The rooms were in a quiet and peaceful part of the building. We had access to the airport departure area for bag drop. We had a wide array of restaurants and breakfast was included; a wonderful breakfast might I add! Overall, I will be back and I won’t hesitate to recommend to any person travelling via LHR.

I recently stayed at this hotel due to its great location for accessing Terminal 5 within London Heathrow Airport. The convenience factor is excellent, making it very easy for travelers with early or late flights. However, I found the hotel to be a bit dated and not quite up to the luxury standards expected of a five-star establishment. In my opinion, it deserves a four-star rating. A few improvements could significantly enhance the guest experience. Firstly, providing complimentary bottled water in the rooms would be a nice touch. Additionally, having USB outlets near the night table would be very convenient for charging devices. I also missed having a second sink and a bidet in the bathroom, features that are common in many European five-star hotels. Overall, it's a comfortable stay with great airport access, but it lacks some of the luxuries and conveniences expected at this level. -

Property was very nice and room was well appointed and very clean. We asked to move rooms due to concerns about noise, but were told the property was fully booked. Jude at the front desk was incredibly helpful with options to getting into central London.

We were kept waiting at the desk for check in and someone was allowed to go ahead of us. Our room was nice, the bed comfy but for the high price I was surprised when in the shower - I found the conditioner empty. Two of us stayed but only one robe was on the door, I asked for a second - it never came. We ordered room service and it left us underwhelmed. The veggie burger was a fried and breaded patty not a burger. The bread was too small for the patty and presentation was no frills. The carrot and coriander soup was utterly tasteless. If I was staying at a budget hotel my expectations would be lower. Last time we stayed the food was excellent. I left disappointed except for the breakfast which was everything and more that we needed. I doubt we will stay again.

The Sofitel is,always my hotel of choice when arriving on a late flight at Terminal 5. The best thing is you can walk from the terminal. It's very quiet so you are guaranteed a good night's sleep
