Room 128 has NO WINDOW & is advertised as a standard single when the bed is child's bed only two foot wide & NOT two foot 6 inches so i had to pull the bad away from the wall a bit and put the chair the over side of the bed to stop me falling out it all so has one of them toilets that macerates every now & then through the night (no doubt in my mind this room started life as a broom cupboard)

Was a great hotel back in the 1980s. Now showing it’s age. Used as a hostel for refugees, so there was lots of security guards around (however, they were kept separate from the other guests).

Room was very functional and bathroom was nice and clean. The room was very basic, side table lights didn’t work and there was a funny smell - air conditioning didn’t work. Glad we were only there for one night as a short stop over, wish I had stayed at the Fleet Days Inn for an extra £20!

Needs a total revamp. And more staff.
The hotel is very tired but clean. Very inconsistent opening time in the coffee shop. Recovering from a hip replacement and using crutches I was very disappointed to have been refused assistance with collecting my suitcases from my room on check out. Eventually it was done but the attitude was that "we don't offer that as part of our service". The breakfast buffet was very poor and had obviously be cooked an hour or two prior to my sitting down to eat. Only went the first day out of four. GBP10.95 was a ridiculous amount for rock hard fried eggs and dried out bacon and sausage. Would I go back? Unfortunately not. It was amusingly Fawlty Towers but after 2 days it pushed my sense of humour too far.
