"Booked this hotel because of the pool and gym which I used every day. Be aware that there are swimming lessons on a Saturday morning so you won't get a quiet swim then, but great at other times. There is an additional charge for this. Had to swap rooms as the fan in the bathroom wouldn't turn off, but the staff were really helpful in finding another room. There are areas of this hotel which need some attention, but it was clean, and the bed was comfortable and I slept well."

"Greeted warmly by reception, was informed that there is no lift. Since we had a lot of baggage the receptionist checked if there were any rooms with easier access. One was available so was allocated to us. The room was very clean and spacious. Overall great service and a lovely place to stay, will look to book again in the future if I’m visiting the area again."

"The staff were very helpful and efficient. The public areas were quite grand and impressive. However, some areas were a bit dated and need refurbishment. Our room was clean but dated, in need of attention. For instance, the curtains had a hole in them. The fridge cabinet doors need attention as they didn’t close easily. On the whole a bit tired, but the staff were very good."

"Excellent hotel with fantastic service throughout our stay. All of the staff were absolutely lovely, but a special mention to Tyler, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was great with a lovely selection to choose from, and the pool and facilities were always clean and well maintained. Our bedroom was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and the bed was so cosy that I genuinely didn’t want to get out of it each morning. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return."

"The rooms I have stayed in have been very clean. The shower is great, easy to use and to get to the right temperature. A bit stingy with the tea bags and 2 biscuits though. The reception staff were quite friendly but I didn't expect to have to pay £5 to park the car on site. One of the rooms I stayed in was a little tired looking and the windows refused to close properly. The hairdryer is pretty good and beds are comfortable. It was lovely and quiet. Nice towels and toiletries. Nice atmosphere and historical feel to the lobby and staircase. I love it."

"A great place to stay, perfect after a wedding at the venue. Food in the pub was delicious and nice outdoor seating to relax and unwind. Only downside was the rooms didn’t have air conditioning (it was a hot day) and the windows only opened a tiny bit which was probably due to H&S reasons. The room did have a small fan though. All in all a great weekend."
