"Chatrium remains my overall favorite hotel in the world. That's a combination of large, well-designed rooms, decent prices, the best bedding I've slept in, balconies with great breezes and warm and helpful staff. There were a few bumps in the process this time around that brought the experience down somewhat: India blocked my plane because I did not go to one of the entry points on my entry visa, which meant I went back to Chatrium after checking out to extend my stay for a few days. "Hotel has its own free longboat service to get help take you and your bags to and from the ferry. Walk to main part of town was short, only a tiny bit across the beach then on a path. Hotel room was nice. Pool area, bar area and bathrooms in need of some TLC."

"Overall it’s a great property .Its kind of a upmarket location so don’t expect to have cheap street eating or street shopping close by . Also they don’t serve alcohol,although BYO is allowed .Their own Tuk tuk, gaming room ,clean and nice swimming area ,good buffet and clean rooms are the highlights.Everything works well "

"Incredible place, views superb, staff superb, room superb. Bring a full wallet though, it’s very expensive to eat and drink here in comparison to the city and not a lot going on in the surrounding streets. If you’re wondering out try Jacks for authentic Thai food on the river. Very basic compared to the hotel but brilliant. "
