Henley is justifiably famous for its annual Royal Regatta at the end of June, the biggest and best-known rowing competition in Britain, which takes place between Henley Bridge and Temple Island. It also holds a black tie music festival in July, and the 80s music festival Rewind in August. For the rest of the year it is a quiet riverside town dotted with quaint pubs and pricey boutiques.
