This a small Ryokan which is very authentic Japanese style. No English spoken but this adds to the authenticity. We loved the natural accommodation which was exactly as shown on the website. Excellent meal provided in the evening and an enormous breakfast which we were not expecting so was a bonus. We lounged about in out Japanese clothes provided and Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this clean and peaceful retreat.

Absolutely stunning hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely attentive. They represent the hotel very well. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen and the view of the mountains and the river below was wonderful, very peaceful. The room included in room dinner and breakfast service and this was such an amazing treat. Our guest assistant was excellent, she seemed to be so happy and enthusiastic to serve all the time. At one point, I had been playing with the...

The hotel was amazing! We had a private onsen room, which was very relaxing before having beautiful 5 course dinners in the hotel restaurant. The staff were so kind and friendly to us. We don’t speak Japanese but we were made to feel very welcome.

After being in Japan for 10days and staying in relatively modern hotels with small rooms, it was delightfully refreshing to be staying in a hotel where room space was more than adequate. Yes, the decor is old fashioned and may appear tired however the surroundings, the staff and the excellent service more than compensate. All staff spoke excellent English and could not do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The "silver" service at breakfast is far above anything I have experienced before...

This was the last hotel of our travels around Japan and I am glad we saved it for last. For our family it was perfect and an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the villas which are a short walk from the main building. The villa was really quaint, with its own inside and outside bath. We enjoyed the food experience, as we were staying 2 nights we ate one night in this hotel and the other nigjt we got the shuttle bus to their sister hotel for the all you can eat buffet. The staff were all...

It is just a lovely retreat in a beautiful location. The hotel rooms are a lovely minimalist Japanese design, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I wish we had more time to stay here longer, and it's one of the very few places I would absolutely return to without hesitation.
