"It was lovely. The food and private in-suite onsen were all incredible, and the service was also top-notch. Also of note, the beds were particularly comfy."
"We loved our stay here. The host was lovely and welcoming and did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The homemade breakfast and the bath were the highlights of the stay. Would definitely stay here again. "
"The property was stunning and an excellent value for the cost. Breakfast was delicious and sakurai treated us very well upon and arrival and throughout our stay. Thank you!"
"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The onsen was relaxing and the food delicious. The rooms were spacious with a great view and the staff was very helpful. Only snag might be due to translation errors, where when booking it seems as though you are booked for a dinner, but it doesn't actually reserve the meal. Would suggest anyone going here call hotel in advance to make sure they have sinner reservations set up."
"1 minute from incline and train and bus stations. Super friendly staff. Comfortable beds, pillows could be softer. Great place. Breakfast was very nice."

"It is very nice. They don’t speak English very well but they tried their best. It’s best if you can speak Japanese. The dinner and breakfast was amazing. And there is also an onsen which is great. It is a traditional ryokan so be prepared to take off your shoes. It was a bit annoying to have to wear 2 different slippers for the hallway and the bathroom which was only a few feet from my room. Also since it’s in the forest there were a few bugs but nothing that disturbed my stay. If you want a traditional ryokan experience this was a great place to stay."
"Our stay was amazing! We loved having the private onsen since was have a lot of tattoos, the was Japanese dinner was the best food we had our whole two weeks in Japan. The staff was so friendly, professional and extremely helpful. We would love to come back as soon as we can!"
"I’m born and raised in Japan but currently living in the US. I have experienced nice Onsen hotels, but this is the best. I’m pretty sure that I’ll come back to this place!!"
"The perfect relaxing location for anyone looking for a peaceful break from the bustle of Tokyo. The attentive service made the stay even more stress free and relaxing. The meals were exceptional and delivered in cozy private dinning space. I will be recommending this to anyone thinking of going to Japan."
