The weather was extremely hot. Ridiculously hot. I think it was the hottest day in Oxfordshire for about thirty years, and it was more-or-less impossible to get the temperature in the room down to something reasonable. But with that sole exception, everything about the hotel was really very good indeed, and I would happily go there again. In fact we are considering going down there sometime cooler for a naughty weekend, maybe in the autumn when it's cooler.

An originally planned one-night stay turned spontaneously into a 2-night stay, but Tom & Patricia are lovely hosts and have accommodated to our flexible needs fuss-free & professionally.
