Charming and original new property. With character. Just starting up so some staff need to have better training / skill. Knowledge of menus.

From the minute we stepped through the main entrance to the moment we reluctantly checked out our experience was one of sheer joy. The staff were so welcoming and professional . The hotel superbly appointed. The service impeccable. Firmdale know their business and give the client a memorable and thoroughly supreme experience.

Very quirky! Beautiful building. Once you get past the fact it’s not like your usual “hotel” and the place is steeped in history and 17th/18th century architecture. Wonky floors and beautiful antique furniture. Roll top baths and old fashion toilets, but beautifully kept and very clean. Really cool adult vibe, room was much bigger than photos look. Amazing location for Old Compton street, theatres and China town all within 5/10 min walk and Piccadilly Circus underground a few mins away. Allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours when we checked out so we could carry on exploring. Staff really helpful!

Great place

Great to see they had kept original parts of the former magistrates court even the cells to sit in in the bar area. Really good breakfast , overall excellent stay and location. Would certainly use again.

I wasn't sure about booking this hotel, as I'd never heard of it. However it was amazing. It is small but that actually adds to the experience. We usually prefer larger hotels but this was truly 5*. It really feels like a special place. The staff all get the balance of attentive & friendly right. If we needed anything they seemed to arrive at just the right time. Can't get a better location, near to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace...the hotel itself is immaculate, the double room was of a reasonable size, the bed so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Shower was excellent, complimentary drinks on arrival and cookies and cranberry juice / water in the room. Downsides..not many, view was terrible and there was a slightly unusual smell in the room which you only really noticed first entering.
