Great location, room and service!

Really nice hotel with a pleasant roof terrace and great staff; the free coffee all day was a nice touch as were the free croissants first thing. Lots of interesting food options nearby - iconic dining at: The Roxy; Bubby’s and Katz Diner were all only a short walk away. There are good transport connections via the nearby subway station and it sits in a very friendly and safe neighbourhood on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy.

Great location

The hotel was in a fantastic location in the Little Italy area of NYC. It's an oasis from the busy city outside. The hotel has 14 excellently appointed rooms surrounding a small internal atrium. The rooms are quiet and you hear no street noise. The staff are excellent and the breakfast provided is a great start to the day. Broadway is a stones throw away, and the nearest subway 5 mins.

Hotel is in a great location in Soho, near shops, little Italy & Chinatown. There are a few subway stations nearby too including Canal Street (note there are several Canal St subways!). Staff were pretty friendly, our room was generously upgraded when we mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The rooms & bathroom are beautiful, toiletries are lovely too. Free wine & Prosecco in The Library Tuesday, Thursday & Saturdays 6-7pm - also includes a small reduced price food menu...

Great hotel in a fab location! Beds were really comfy and rooms were bigger than expected.

Writing update in lobby January has proved to be a great time to see NYC and Kitano has proved to be a great place to stay very happy with all aspects but did not eat in ,too much choice close by.

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about Kixby. The location is as safe as it gets,easy walking distance from Penn Station if you come in by LIRR/Airtrain from JFK(30 mins hassle free way to get into Manhattan) and the subway is 50 yards from the front door. There are the best selection of bars,restaurants and eateries within minutes of the hotel as well as Maddison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. All of the staff were friendly,helpful and informative,you get a free water...

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

We arrived a little after 3pm, and had a lovely greeting from staff, but our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait. We booked and paid through Expedia… an Empire via room with living space. Please note that the hotel does not offer this type of room. None of their Empire View rooms have the separate living room area. The Empire view rooms do give a great view of the Empire State Building but their ‘living room’ is a tiny space with a chaise and a TV. Management were excellent with us and moved us...

Lovely small boutique hotel in a great location downtown away from the main hustle and bustle. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and quiet with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities in the lounge 24/7 plus a complimentary breakfast of pastries and orange juice which was a welcome surprise. It is a little dated and could perhaps do with some modern decoration but this didn't really distract from a great stay.

Such a well situated hotel slap bang in the middle of Manhattan, walking distance to most sightseeing/tourist hubs. Room was fantastic, spacious, tea/coffee making machine, fridge which was a bonus, would 100% stay here again. 5*

Rooms spotless. Lots of breakfast places near. Carnegie cafe diner near for breakfast. Central Park walkable distance. Moma near by. Broadway walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. A special mention goes to James, the manager, who was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is also in a great location for Times Square, making it easy to explore the city and all the main attractions. It was also great to be able to help ourselves to coffee and snacks throughout the day, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Breakfast did get quite busy around 9:00 am, and the food options...
