A gorgeous hotel (check out the twin chandeliers in the foyer) with incredibly helpful staff and very spacious rooms. Everything worth seeing in Newcastle is within a few minutes walk of this hotel. In fact, the walk to the leisure suite takes in the castle and Tyne Bridge! Thoroughly recommended.

The room was incredibly hot and the provided fan didn’t help much. The hotel is very old which gives it a charm but facilities and rooms could do with a renovation. For 2-nights it was ok and the staff welcoming and friendly.
