Arrived at hotel past midnight due to delayed flight and it was handy that front desk is open 24hrs. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Had few minor problems with our room and got changed into another room with no dramas. Enjoyed the stay at the hotel.

"Wonderful reasonably priced hotel."
Before we left for Bangkok i emailed the hotel asking if we could check in early, when we got there at 10:30am our room was ready. the check in process was quick and we were given all the information we needed. The room was large, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in two of the restaurants and enjoyed the food. The pool was great and againnvery clean and not overcrowded. A ferry runs from the hotel to the main ferry terminal making getting arround easy. Only thing to remember is that the main ferry does not run after dark so gettint about at night is not so easy. We were impressed with this hotel and the reasonable bill we received on checkout.

"Great centrally located luxury hotel "
A great place to take a three day stopover on our way to the UK from Australia Luxury hotel Excellent facilities Fantastic staff Fabulous food Great value for money We upgraded and used the Horizon Club lounge which was excellent value (afternoon tea, evening cocktails and canapés as well as tea / coffee available all day - all for a small fee above the cost of breakfast) Well located for walking to the PETRONAS Towers, several shopping centres and the city bus tour stop only a few minutes from the hotel Only one hour in a taxi from the airport which was inexpensive All in all a great place to relax and enjoy some of what Kuala Lumpur and its people have to offer

Very pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful and approachable. The room was clean and had everything there needed to be. Glass panel between shower and the room added a major brownie point! Also there was the option of rain shower head - absolutely loved it! Breakfast was surprisingly good too. Will definitely stay there again next time.

"Nice Hotel close to Monorail & major shopping cntr"
our basic room was a bit small with a tiny window and "wall to wall" bed which meant that one had to cross over the other partner if you wanted to get out of bed. Room rate included breakfast and the range of items for breakfast was excellent. The lobby had an excellent pastry and coffee shop.

    About Kuala Lumpur

The sprawling city of Kuala Lumpur is the federal capital and largest metropolis of Malaysia. Known also as KL, this city is a melting pot of cultures. Kuala Lumpur boasts some of Southeast Asia’s most impressive five-star hotels, shopping spots, colonial landmarks and entertainment districts. Throw in nearby natural splendours, and its little wonder why Kuala Lumpur is among the world’s most visited cities.

    Don’t Miss in KL

Kuala Lumpur features plenty of intriguing and inspiring attractions that tourists simply must not miss.

Architecture in KL is simply breathtaking, with a host of colonial buildings that are guaranteed to excite engineering enthusiasts. In the city centre are such landmarks as the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the old Colonial Secretariat, which is now the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Of course, what truly stands out in the KL skyline is the Petronas Towers – arguably Asia’s grandest skyscraper.

Museums line the streets of downtown KL. Even though there are dozens to choose from, two of the top museums in KL are the National Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum. The National Museum boasts plenty of exhibits that highlight the historical richness of Malaysia, including its vast, pre-colonial heritage.

Cultural landmarks are incredibly popular and important within KL. A trip to Petaling Street will take tourists to the renowned Chinatown district, where much of KL’s Chinese community operates. Little India is another fantastic cultural area that has lots of beautiful shrines, restaurants and shopping spots to experience.

    KL Restaurants and Bars

Kuala Lumpur’s culinary culture is second to none. If tourists need to get their Western food fix, one of the many modern shopping malls will offer an array of choices.

However, while in KL, tourists should sample the delightful local cuisines on offer. Chinatown offers the best array of Chinese food in town, while Malay food are excellent in the Tunku Abdul Rahman and Kampung Baru districts. Of course, tourists should not miss an opportunity to sample the roadside stalls, or the delicious food in the traditional kedai kopi (coffee houses).

To experience nightlife in KL, the Golden Triangle boasts the largest cluster of clubs and pubs in the capital city, especially around Jalan P. Ramlee and Ampang Road.

    Shopping in Kuala Lumpur

From the cheap to the best of luxury goods, shopping is one of Kuala Lumpur’s biggest attractions. There are more than 60 major shopping malls in the city, including some renowned names like the modern Berjaya Times Square, Pavilion and Suria KLCC mall, which are located within the Golden Triangle.

For a more local experience, tourists should head to Petaling Street in the Chinatown district to shop in the KL street markets.
