"Nice hotel, great position near the town centre. Lovely room but bed very low and very flat pillows. Sounds picky but sleep quality is important ."

"We were in room 169. It was a very long walk to the room. However, it was worth it. We had a full view of York Racecourse, from our balcony. The room was very roomy and well equipped. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and a very nice buffet breakfast. The hotel originally was a Manor House built in the 1880s. A very interesting history of it can be found online. "
