"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "What we liked the most is the central location. Within blocks of the Shambles, Bettys Cafe, Boots, Marks and Spencer, Jorvik, and more. The instructions for getting keys was a bit off. The lock box instructions are not accurate as to the location. The apartment is on 2 floors with a narrow spiral staircase to get between floors. The apartment was clean, but parts are a bit run down. the closet door in the bedroom was off its track. That said, you cannot get a better location. Sites, restaurants,...
