New Delhi has a lot to offer - for the tourist. It is crowded - and the farmers burning of the fields ( after harvest) makes a visit in November challenging. While November weather is pleasant - the smog the fires create can be problematic.

I did enjoy seeing Dehli including the old market, the handicrafts museum and the Red Fort, but the pollution problem was severe at the time of my visit.

Delhi is many cities. Modern, old, oppulent, deprived, stepping back in time and moving forward. All life is here in its naked glory. Westerners can feel at once welcome, viewed with interest, targetted , but it is a joy also for many reasons.

It's chaotic but it has its charm! Recommend getting a tour guide if this is your first visit, to avoid feeling overwhelmed with the crowd on the streets and the heat (42 celcius in May)

"There is nothing bad about this place
I had arrived at another hotel 2am in the morning (Mayda inn). I somehow managed to sleep, and when I woke up, I immediately booked the Radisson standard room for 2 nights. I was amazed at how clean and presentable the hotel, room and staff were. The place exceeded my expectations. I went for a Hyrox competition and I’ll be back next year, at the Radisson
I was also given some invaluable advice regarding the Uber drivers (beware)
You will be well looked after if you book this place
All the best "
"The ITC Maurya is my all time favorite hotel in Delhi because of its exceptional standards and great hospitality. Owing to the gracious, efficient and personalized services, I consider it a home away from home."
"Conveniently located hotel within aerocity, just next door to Delhi airport.
From our first day of arrival, all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained with room cleaning/clean linen daily.
The breakfast was excellent value and included a vast range of north and South Indian items, including live stations. There was options to order food to the room (which was very good on the occasion which we ordered it).
There is a nearby food court and square with several restaurants and coffee shops and convenience store within aerocity.
We would definitely stay here again if visiting Delhi!"
