"Our stay at Occidental Punta Cana was wonderful, but what truly made it stand out was the exceptional service we received at the Expedia desk.
I want to give a special thank you to Betania. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and attentive to my family’s needs throughout our entire stay. Having someone so reliable to turn to made our vacation much smoother and more enjoyable.
If you are visiting this resort, definitely look for Betania—she is a true asset to the team!""
"Do not recommend if you’re traveling with toddlers or if you have a hard time walking. Resort doesn’t have many elevators or shuttles to help travel. For my toddlers, no good activities. Only 3 small pools. My toilet was broken the whole trip even tho I mentioned it at the front desk every single morning. No hot water the first 3 days I was there. Bed sheets were really dirty."
Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, All Suite Resort - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Beautiful resort, very tranquil with great landscape. The beach area was perfect with plenty of lounge chairs available for use. Staff were amazing and friendly and the daily and nightly entertainment were great. We really enjoyed the random Karaoke sessions in the night. "
"We stayed in Platinum suite. The room was clean and comfortable. The beach and pools were amazing. We were able to easily make dinner reservations at several of the dinner restaurants and loved the buffet restaurants, coffee shop, ice cream shop, etc. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was easy to move throughout the resort with the frequent shuttle/tram. The peacocks were plentiful and quite vocal. Bottled water was available in the room and at locations throughout the resort. Enjoyed everything about this all-inclusive resort."
"Our experience was just ok. We were honestly quite disappointed. Rooms were dirty, had an odd smell and we were constantly locked out of our room due to a broken door lock battery. Staff were nice but not very accommodating. Despite this, the food at the buffet was actually good. Honestly for the price; you get what you pay for but sadly we will not be returning. "
"THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR RESORT NO MATTER WHAT THEY ADVERTISE OR ASPIRE TO BE.
THIS IS OUR 5th TIME STAYING AT THIS RESORT.
Location: 5 stars - beautiful beach - the best part of the resort.
Premium Level: 2 stars due to issues with rooms - Booked 2 rooms with request for adjacent rooms. Resort initially gave us rooms very far apart in separate buildings. After 2 days moved to the same building with 1 room on first floor and the second room directly above on the third floor. My adult daughters got eaten up by mosquitos in that first floor room on the first night in that room. They moved to our room on the 3rd floor for 2 nights. They then moved to a 3rd floor room 4 doors down from us for the remainder of the stay. The people at the premium level desk did not seem to care. They kept saying that since we booked with Expedia they could not give us adjacent rooms or compensate us for the loss of use of the 1st floor room.
Housekeeping: 2 stars - Rooms are clean. However, they leave the sliding doors open while cleaning causing mosquitos to enter the room. In the public areas, they mop the floors with some oily cleaner. My daughter slipped on the stairs and was in pain for the rest of our stay.
Rooms: 1 star - Rooms are in dire need of updating. We had issues with hair dryers, safes not working, air conditioning cutting off because the sliding doors were closed but not aligned with the door sensors.
Public Spaces: I sank down in every chair I sat in.
Restaurants: 3 stars"

"Let me start off by saying the resort itself is beautiful and amazing. Its not a disgusting resort and nasty.
I went in just trying to relax and had low expectations but for some reason those low expectations became worse than I thought. I have been to multiple all inclusives, one in Punta Cana and I have never experienced worse service ever. We landed late and had a long flight of which we got there and got our wristbands/hotel keys. We were told we had a private concierge of which we were promised. We asked if we could make any dinner reservations of which he said we could not when we arrived because the reservation woman was not working. We carried all our luggage to our hotel room to find out our room keys weren't working so the concierge guy made us walk all the way with our backpacks back to the lobby to then get the key fixed to then walk all the way back to our room again. Im pretty low maintenance but the fact he went you had a long flight you guys should get some rest to making us lug our backpacks like 4 times rubbed me wrong. I told him the dinner reservations we wanted to make of which he told us he would make and he was going to text us on whats app. I never recieved a text at all and then the next morning we discovered we could make reservations on a tablet for our entire trip of which we found out he never made reservations for us. I asked the front lobby where"
