I felt very safe by myself at this property, even at night. While it is very large, most things you want to do are concentrated in one area.

This Hotel really rocks!!! I went to celebrate my birthday and it was the best birthday ever. It is amazing. It's HUGE. A lot of options for everyone. You will never get bored. Always something to do. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent facilities. I am definitely going back. Thanks!!!

I think you should invest more on quality of food and incorporate some easier seafood options. Fried shrimp/po boys/seafood tacos. Only complaint was food just wasn’t very good. Would definitely come back still but thought it would be bettere

Pros-front desk staff were very nice and the room service staff were excellent. The room service staff was under staffed but they were working so hard to make everyone happy Cons- the room was not very clean. My sheet on the bed was dirty and the floor had hair on it. Also, I had a very poor experience with vacation planners. They over charged me for golf which i didn’t even know until I went to the golf course and they said my son should have been given the junior rate. When I went back to vacation planners about this, they credited me for my son, but charged me once again for myself. It took me several e-mails to let them know about this, and to this day I am not sure if I l will get my money back.

When we checked into our room, we soon discovered that our room was located the farthest from the restaurants and most attractions on the property, and also excludes the roach we found in our room on the first day that we immediately had to kill. There is a trolley service, but there's a 15 minute wait on average - and that's assuming that the trolley isn't "low on battery" and can't take anyone for a ride. The food at the restaurants were bland at best, which in itself was disappointing considering that the Dominican food outside the resort was FAR better and richer in taste. The meats at every restaurant we ate at were very dry and extremely chewy, as if they weren't cooked that thoroughly at all. The beach had twigs everywhere and was not clean at all. Toward the shore was plenty of seaweed which was not pleasant to walk through. Not to mention cigarettes butt here and there, and sharp pieces of plastic we could have easily cut our feet on had we not brought beach slippers to walk with. Overall, even though we loved Punta Cana and would definitely revisit the country, we did not love our stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. The property felt too white-washed and at times felt like a white people day care, from the tasteless and undercooked food to the entertainment. It was especially disappointing considering that Dominicans are rich in culture and cuisine and it felt very suppressed at the resort. Would not stay again, would probably go to another all inclusive next time
