Nice place to stay within walking distance of the centre but taxis cost more like £8 than the £ 5 we were told at the hotel.

Really lovely stay here, literally a five minute walk to the City Centre Roman Baths etc. Lovely clean room,well stocked with teas and coffee. Breakfast was so nice, really friendly, attentive staff . A great stay I can highly recommend it. Check in and checkout was extremely easy. Social distancing measures etc were also really good. Thank you

Lovely place with friendly staff. We would definitely go back and we would recommend Leighton House to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable stay in a beautiful house.

Nice enough B&B, but breakfast was a let down. They rush you! They leave only two cereals (corn flakes and special K) in the boxes in the bowls (covid risk), then you have to wait for milk which is in large jugs being shared with other tables (covid risk!). No other options sadly. You get toast (but kept having to ask for jam), they ran out of marmalade the Thursday and didn't stock up again (just pop to local shop and buy a couple of jars!). As you are eating cereal and toast, they bring out the main breakfast!, so it gets cold while you are eating the cereal and toast still, why rush, we want to have a relaxing breakfast! Coffee on last day tasted like dishwater, told them it was weak and asked for another pot, they just brought out the same dish water again :-( (coffee was fine the two previous days), and didn't bring me a new cup to drink from for ages, you'd think they'd make it stronger when you mention it is weak tasting. Eggs benedict was nice and staff pleasant enough. Also they didn't wear masks on the the Wed/Thurs but did on the Friday :-/ Suspect they need to review their covid procedures going forward...
